Reconciliation

Beloved of All
Praying for my boyfriend that he turns his heart towards Heavenly Father and that we reconcile and get married wth heaven Lu father attn center of our marriage and our Im jesue’ name I pray

We hear your heart’s longing for reconciliation and a marriage centered on God, and we join you in lifting this before our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the foundation of your request, your relationship with your boyfriend. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). However, the term "boyfriend" suggests a relationship that is not yet committed to this biblical standard. If you are seeking marriage, we encourage you to pursue a season of intentional courtship with the goal of holy matrimony, rather than remaining in a relationship that may not honor God’s design.

We also notice that while you mention "Im jesue’ name," the name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Him alone, and it is through His sacrifice that we are reconciled to God. If your boyfriend does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we must pray fervently for his salvation first, for "what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). A marriage built on unequal spiritual foundations will struggle to stand firm in God’s purposes.

Let us also gently address the issue of intimacy before marriage. If you and your boyfriend are engaging in sexual relations, this is considered fornication in Scripture and grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We must repent of any sin and seek purity, for "marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). True reconciliation and a godly marriage begin with holiness.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for this sister and her desire for reconciliation and marriage. Lord, we first ask that You draw her boyfriend to Yourself. Soften his heart to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, that he may be born again and walk in the light of Your truth. Father, if it is Your will for them to be united in marriage, we pray that You would prepare both of their hearts, minds, and spirits to enter into this covenant in a way that honors You. Convict them of any sin, especially in the area of sexual purity, and lead them to repentance. May their relationship be a testimony of Your grace, love, and redemption.

Lord, we ask that You would remove any obstacles to reconciliation, pride, unforgiveness, or worldly influences, and replace them with humility, grace, and a shared commitment to Your Word. If this relationship is not of You, we pray for the courage to let go and trust in Your perfect plan. May Your will be done in both of their lives, and may Your name be glorified above all else.

We pray for this sister, that she would find her identity and security in Christ alone. Strengthen her faith, deepen her walk with You, and fill her with Your peace as she waits on Your timing. May she be a light in her boyfriend’s life, pointing him to the cross, and may their future marriage, if it is Your will, be a reflection of Christ and the Church.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian couple who can walk alongside you in this season. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking God to reveal His will for your life and this relationship. Remember, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). If your desire aligns with His will, He will bring it to pass in His perfect timing. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.

We join you in praying for your boyfriend’s heart to turn fully to our Heavenly Father, and for the two of you to be brought back together. It’s clear that you long for a marriage where Christ is the true center, and that is a beautiful, God-honoring hope.

Right now, the most personal and urgent thing you’ve asked is for his heart to be drawn to God. So while you wait, we’d encourage you to keep your own heart anchored in Christ. Sometimes the waiting teaches us to trust God’s faithful timing more deeply than we ever would otherwise. You don’t have to carry the whole weight of making reconciliation happen; God sees you both, and He’s at work even when we can’t yet see it. Continue to bring this before Him simply, as you’ve done, and let Him quiet any anxious thoughts. Your steady, quiet faith may be the very thing that speaks loudly to your boyfriend over time.

Father, we lift up this sister and her boyfriend to You. We ask that You turn his heart toward Yourself, open his eyes to know You, soften any resistance, and draw him gently into a real relationship with You. We pray for reconciliation between them, and for a God-centered marriage that honors You. Sustain her with peace and patience while she trusts You to work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heart is the vital place, and no prayer avails unless the heart is first given to God. You speak of your boyfriend and your desire that his heart turn to the heavenly Father. That is a right cry, for "the pure in heart shall see God," and without heart-renewal he remains in the blindness that beclouds the whole mind. Yet pause and ask: is your own heart fully given to Him? "My son, give Me your heart," says the Lord, and a heart halved is killed. A half heart is no heart at all. If you would see him reconciled to God, see first that you yourself love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and strength. God is not mocked: to pray for a marriage while walking in a manner that displeases Him, to share affections outside the covenant He ordained, is to offer a divided heart. That is an abomination.

Consider the ministry of reconciliation. God is not willing that the quarrel should continue; He has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. But we must be reconciled to Him, ending the dispute. Your boyfriend’s first need is not marriage, but a new heart, a heart of flesh, which only God can give in an instant, not because he deserves it, but because God wills it. Pray earnestly for that mighty work. And for yourself, examine your ways. Are you living in any bond that Scripture calls sin? If you are unequally yoked, or if your relationship runs contrary to the historic biblical ethic, then your very prayers are hindered until you rend your heart, not your garments. God’s love is shed abroad in the heart, not in carnal affections, but in holiness.

Desires toward God are gracious things, and He observes them. But He will not be second to any idol. If your heart groans after Him, then let it groan first for purity. Let your cry be, “Teach me Your statutes.” Go forward only as He commands. Hold your peace and know that He is God. If this man is truly to be your husband, let him first become a man of God alone with God. Then, in God’s time, a marriage centered on Christ may be a sweet blessing. But dare not trifle with the wrath of God by seeking His blessing on a path that is not His. Let the sword of the Spirit pierce your heart today, that you may turn wholly to the Lord, and then commit all your desires to Him who delights in the delight of His people.

You pray for your boyfriend to turn his heart to the Heavenly Father, and that you two be reconciled and enter marriage with God at its center. This is a holy desire, for marriage is a bond ordained of God, and a home where Christ is the foundation is a blessed one. But take care, child, that this good desire does not outrun wisdom. The Apostle says, “only in the Lord” (1 Cor. 7:39). If this young man has not yet given his heart to God, you must be patient in prayer and careful in action. To be unequally yoked with an unbeliever is to invite a lifelong war in your own household, where peace with God is the first casualty. If he should later command anything contrary to godliness, you would find yourself bound to a man who resists the very faith you hold dear. The blessed Paul tells us that in such cases, a sister is not under bondage; better the marriage not take place than to compromise your devotion to Christ.

Yet do not despair, nor cease your fervent supplications. The same God who reconciled us to Himself through the blood of His own Son, making peace by the cross, is able to turn any heart. He who “by Himself purged our sins” can purge the blindness from this man’s soul. Pray without ceasing, but also examine your own life: let your conduct be chaste, modest, and full of the fear of God, so that he may be won not by words alone but by your pure and reverent behavior. If he sees in you the pearl of great price, he may yet learn to value the Kingdom.

Remember, too, that marriage is not an end in itself; it is a means to serve God with greater devotion, not a license for laxity. If this reconciliation happens, let it be only after his faith is made plain by a changed life, attending to the things of God, pursuing virtue, and walking in repentance. Do not rush into a union hoping that the sacrament itself will convert him, for that is to tempt God. The covenant of marriage is too weighty to rest on uncertain hopes.

So pray, and wait upon the Lord. If this man truly turns to the Heavenly Father, then what you seek will be a house built on rock. But if he remains hardened, trust that God who “hath His own gift for each one” has something better for you, whether a life of undistracted service or a husband who already loves Christ. In all things, seek first the Kingdom, and His righteousness, and these other matters will be ordered by Him who knows your needs before you ask.
