We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and this relationship. We appreciate that you have prayed in Jesus' name, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. It is commendable that you are seeking God's will in this situation and we stand with you in this.
Firstly, let's consider what the Bible says about reconciliation. Matthew 18:15 WEB, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." If this man is a brother in Christ, it is important to approach him with a humble heart, ready to listen and forgive as God leads. This also means that the relationship should be one that is aligned with biblical principles, striving for purity and holiness with the end goal being marriage to a godly spouse. If this is the case, then the Bible encourages reconciliation and forgiveness.
However, if this man is not pursuing God's will for his life and not treating you with the love and respect that God intends, then it might be a sign that this relationship may not be God's best for you. Remember that the Bible makes it clear in many places and in many ways that the godly wife is to be a helper and an encouragement to her husband and vice versa. God's word also warns against being unequally yoked. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who seeks Your will for her life and her relationship. Lord, if this man is truly sent by You, we pray for healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Guide them both, give them wisdom and discernment to navigate this difficult time, and restore their relationship in a way that honors and glorifies You. Make it clear to her that he should be pursuing her in a godly way with the goal being a godly marriage.
However, if this man is not Your chosen life spouse for her, we ask that You grant her the strength, peace, and courage to move on. Help her to trust in Your perfect plan for her life and to wait patiently for the godly spouse that You have prepared for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and take heart, wait on the Lord. Psalm 27:14 encourages us in this way: "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and that He will direct your paths as you seek Him with all your heart.
Blessings and peace and guidance be upon you.
