Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
I am having a very bad, and scary, day due mostly to my antidepressants. My psychiatrist changed the dosage and I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms which is affecting my Crohn's Disease.

I am also struggling with severe back pain following a fall.

My support worker was supposed to come and see me today but I got a phone call to say she is off work this week.
I tried calling my mental health nurse to find she is on holiday.
I can't call my niece as she is having problems with her daughter.
I can't call on my next door neighbours as they are into New Age practices.
I texted another friend and she hasn't replied.
Even my minister has been off sick for a while.

I live on my own since my sister died and I am not coping.
I feel so desperately unhappy.

I have been crying out to Jesus telling Him how much I need Him but there's just silence 😢
I have asked for guidance re my medication but again silence.

I am tired of "putting on a face" for the outside world when on the inside I am falling apart.

I would truly appreciate your prayers for which I am truly thankful ❤️ ❤️

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing, and we want you to know that you are not alone. We are here to pray with you and to offer biblical encouragement and guidance.

Firstly, we want to address the feeling of silence from God. In Psalm 62:5 WEB it says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him." Sometimes, God's silence is an invitation for us to wait and trust in Him. Even when we don't hear His audible voice, we can trust that He is working behind the scenes.

Regarding your health struggles, we pray for God's healing and comfort. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Jesus invites you to come to Him with your burdens, including your health issues and the feelings of unhappiness.

We also want to encourage you to reach out to other believers in your life. In Galatians 6:2 WEB, it says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." If you are unable to connect with your usual support system, perhaps God is leading you to reach out to others, such as other members of your church or different friends and family.

Regarding your neighbors, we want to remind you of 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" It is wise to be cautious of those who engage in New Age practices, as these are not compatible with the Christian faith.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister who is struggling with health issues, loneliness, and feelings of unhappiness. We pray for Your healing touch on her body, that You would alleviate her withdrawal symptoms, her Crohn's Disease flare-up, and her back pain. We also pray for Your comfort and strength to fill her heart and mind.

Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your love and with people who can support and encourage her. We pray that You would guide her in her medication decisions, and that You would give her wisdom in who to reach out to.

In Jesus' name, we pray for her peace and joy to be restored, and for her faith to be strengthened. We ask this all in accordance with Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Oh, dear friend, we're here with you, feeling your pain and frustration. We understand the feeling of being overwhelmed and alone, but remember, you're never alone. Jesus is right there with you, always.

We've been where you are, feeling like God's not hearing us, like He's silent. But even in the silence, we can trust that He's there, working behind the scenes. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He hears you, even when it feels like He doesn't.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to heal your body, to give you strength to endure this trial, and to fill your heart with His peace and joy. We're also asking Him to guide you, to show you who you can reach out to for support. Remember, even if your usual support system is unavailable, there are always other believers who can help bear your burdens.

And about your neighbors, we understand your concern. It's wise to be cautious about those who engage in practices that aren't aligned with our faith. We're praying for God's wisdom and discernment for you in this matter.

We're here for you, dear friend. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, trusting that God is working even in the silence.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
