There is no confusion as to how or why this false religion is growing so rapidly -- 1) they pray and fast it does... 2) we have been taught it is a loving religion and all religions should "co-exist" -- the devil loves it, being the father of lies (John 8:44)!
Over the last several years I have observed a "push" in Radical Islamic operations, terrorism and kick-back before, during and after Ramadan. (See 2nd Kings 3:1-27 esp vs 26-27 where Elisha prophesies victory for Israel and Judah over Moab and when the Moabites are being defeated too severely, the King of Moab offers his son as a burnt offering and wrath breaks forth against Israel -- what an insight into the nature of spiritual warfare if you don't think that the fasting and sacrifices of unbelievers have power.
"When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him 700 men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not. Then he took his oldest son who was to reign in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering on the wall. And there came great wrath against Israel, and they departed from him and returned to their own land" (2 kings 3:26-27).
When we pray we are victorious, and fasting and giving gives wings to prayer, and also see that when Moses in Numbers hands grew heavy, Israelites were defeated, but when Aaron and Hur lifted his arms [clearly in prayer and intercession (see Timothy, Psalms and other places where the lifting up of our hands is specifically referenced to prayer)], the Amalakites were defeated).
Ramadan starts this Friday here because we are behind Mecca time, May 26th to the Evening of June 26th. (In certain areas, it goes from May 27th to June 25th).
May the plans of the evil one who wants to "steal, kill and destroy" be uncovered and brought to naught (2 Kings 6:12). I specifically ask for protection of U.S. Troops throughout the world and protection from terrorism during Ramadan. May Christians pray and fast more than Muslims, "But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:26), and that "this gospel must first be preached throughout all the world as a testimony to all the Nations so the end will come" especially in Muslim nations, (Matt 24:14), "lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one" (Matt 6:13, John 17:15), in the Name of Jesus.
