Thank you for sharing what is on your heart in the midst of this weather. It is understandable to be concerned about the car with the windows cracked and about the alignment still not feeling right, and to ask the Lord for safety and for His guidance and peace.
Scripture reminds us that the Lord is sovereign over the rain. He is the One who can shut the heavens and the One who sends rain upon the earth, as He promised to Elijah. Elijah was a man with the same nature as we have, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain for three and a half years, and he prayed again and the heavens gave rain. Because he had the promise of God he persisted in prayer, even praying seven times until the cloud appeared. That teaches us that we can bring even these practical matters of weather before the Lord with confidence, knowing He hears and He governs all things. It is right to ask Him to hold back the rain from damaging what you have been entrusted with, and to thank Him for His care in every detail.
It is also so easy to become attached to material things like a car or a home. A new possession can quickly capture our hearts, and then a small scratch or a mechanical problem can steal our joy. The Lord cares about the things that concern you, including an alignment that does not feel right after work has been done, but He also wants to keep these things in perspective so they do not become a source of constant anxiety. You can trust Him with the car itself, asking for wisdom about the repair and for provision to have it corrected properly, while holding it lightly before Him.
Your request for safety and protection is precious to the Lord. He is our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust, a place of safety and peace where we experience His power and goodness. Often He protects us in ways we do not even see, even turning aside harm in a moment when we only have time to call upon the name of Jesus. At other times He even uses an inconvenience, like car trouble, to keep us from a greater difficulty. You can rest in His watchful care over you on the road and in the storm.
You also asked for guidance, peace, favor, blessings and strength. The way to that is to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and not lean on your own understanding. When we try to figure everything out ourselves or rely on our own formulas for success, we can make decisions we later regret. But when we seek His wisdom and ask for His direction, He promises to direct our paths. He gives strength as we wait on Him and establishes our hearts in His peace.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this need before You. You see the rain and the car with the windows cracked. We ask You in Your mercy to keep the interior dry and to guard what has been entrusted. We ask You to give wisdom regarding the alignment, to lead to the right help so it is corrected and the vehicle is safe to drive. We ask for Your protection over every trip, that You would be a refuge and fortress. Grant guidance in every decision, and fill the heart with Your peace, favor and strength. Help to trust You with both small and large concerns, and to find rest in Your goodness. Amen.
