We lift up this heartfelt request to our Heavenly Father, recognizing the deep concern for the salvation of many souls and the desire for institutions to reflect godly values. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of salvation—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. The Bible is clear: *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)*. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If those mentioned in this request do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and draw them to repentance and faith in Him.
We also recognize the concern about the direction of educational institutions, particularly liberal arts colleges. While we can pray for wisdom, discernment, and godly influence in these places, we must remember that God does not force His will upon individuals or institutions. Instead, He calls us to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), to live out our faith boldly, and to share the truth in love. We can pray that those in positions of leadership would seek God’s wisdom and that students and faculty would encounter the love of Christ through believers on campus. However, we must also guard our hearts against fear or bitterness toward those who hold different worldviews. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are prayer, truth, and love.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for the lost. We lift up every person mentioned in this request—students, faculty, staff, and all those connected to them. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and convict them of their need for a Savior. May they come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and be saved, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. We pray for those in liberal arts colleges and universities, that they would encounter believers who reflect Your love and truth. Raise up godly men and women on these campuses to be lights in the darkness, sharing the hope of Christ with gentleness and respect.
Father, we also pray for the institutions themselves. We ask that You would grant wisdom to those in leadership, that they would seek Your will in all things. May Your truth prevail in classrooms, in policies, and in the hearts of those who teach and learn. We pray that these places would not be strongholds of worldly ideology but environments where Your Word is honored and Your name is glorified. Help us, Lord, to be faithful witnesses wherever You have placed us, trusting that You are at work even in the midst of opposition.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, division, or resentment that may seek to take root in our hearts. Instead, fill us with Your peace, Your love, and Your boldness to stand firm in the faith. May we never compromise the truth of Your Word, but may we also never forget the command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Give us opportunities to share the Gospel with those who do not know You, and grant us the wisdom to do so with grace and humility.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which anyone can be saved. Amen.
To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for the salvation of those around you. Remember that God is sovereign, and His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Trust in His timing and His perfect will. If you are connected to any of these individuals or institutions, consider how you might be a light to them—through your words, your actions, and your prayers. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38). Ask the Lord to send workers into these fields, and be willing to be one of them. Above all, stand firm in the truth of Scripture, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you and in those you are praying for.
