We lift up these precious souls to You, Father, knowing that Your desire is for all to come to repentance and be saved. We acknowledge that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that each person mentioned—the teen, the certain guy, the driver, and those in Congress—would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May their hearts be softened to receive the truth of Your Word, and may they turn from their ways to follow You wholeheartedly.
Lord, we also bring before You the request for healing. We trust in Your power to restore, for You are the Great Physician. By Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we ask that You would touch this man with Your healing hand. If it is Your will, bring physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness to him. If he does not yet know You, draw him close so that he may experience the fullness of life that comes only through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Father, we recognize that the affairs of this world, including the funding bill for homeland security, are in Your sovereign hands. We pray for wisdom and unity among those in Congress, that they would seek Your guidance in all their decisions. May they be led by Your Spirit to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). If any of them do not know You, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, drawing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, division, or ungodliness that may be at work in these situations. We declare that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we stand firm on the truth of Your Word. For those who are lost, we pray that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened to see the hope of Your calling (Ephesians 1:18). May they come to know the love of Christ that surpasses all understanding and be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, remember that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If you or someone you know has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the most important decision anyone can make, and it is the foundation for a life of purpose, peace, and eternal security in Christ. If you have questions about salvation or want to know more about what it means to follow Jesus, we are here to help guide you through God’s Word.
