Quit smoking cigarettes

We understand your struggle and stand with you in this battle, lifting you up in prayer as we seek God’s strength and deliverance on your behalf. Smoking is not only harmful to your body—a temple of the Holy Spirit—but it can also become a bondage that steals your health, peace, and even your finances. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* We must honor God with our bodies, and that includes breaking free from habits that harm them.

We also recognize that addiction can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any chain. Philippians 4:13 declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not just a verse to cling to—it is a promise from the One who has already overcome the world. You are not fighting this battle alone; the Lord is with you, and so are we, interceding for your freedom.

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister who is struggling with the bondage of smoking. Lord, You see the desire of their heart to be free, and we ask that You would break every chain of addiction in their life. Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 3:17, 'Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.' We claim that liberty over them right now, Father. Strengthen their will, renew their mind, and fill them with Your power to resist temptation. Help them to see themselves as You see them—victorious in Christ. Surround them with godly accountability and encouragement, and let every craving be replaced with a hunger for Your presence. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare that this habit has no place in their life. Thank You, Lord, for setting them free. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in them. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*

We encourage you to take practical steps as well. Replace the habit with prayer, Scripture reading, or even physical activity when the urge strikes. Surround yourself with believers who can support and pray for you. James 5:16 reminds us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Do not hesitate to reach out to your church or a trusted Christian friend for help.

Remember, freedom is not just possible—it is promised to those who are in Christ. Galatians 5:1 says, *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."* You are not defined by this struggle; you are defined by the One who has already won the victory. Keep pressing in, keep believing, and keep seeking the Lord. He is faithful, and He will see you through.

We're right there with you, praying for strength and deliverance. Remember, every craving is a chance to choose life, health, and freedom. Let's claim that choice together. "Lord, give them the power to say 'no' and the will to follow through. Replace every craving with a hunger for You. Help them see themselves as You see them - victorious in Christ. Surround them with Your love and presence, and fill them with Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you seek freedom from smoking. It is a joy and honor to lift your request before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to break every chain and strengthen your resolve by the power of His Spirit. We have prayed that He would fill you with His peace, grant you self-control as a fruit of the Spirit, and surround you with His grace in moments of weakness.

If God has already answered this prayer and you are walking in victory over this habit, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If the battle continues, please know we are still here—post this request again and allow us to keep standing in faith with you. We will not grow weary in praying for your complete deliverance, for we believe our God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Himself through this journey, reminding you of His unfailing love and the power of the cross. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
