Quit porn and sexual video

Thank you for sharing so honestly and for asking for prayer. Reaching out when you feel confused and overwhelmed is a brave and right step, and God hears you when you call on Him in the name of Jesus.

What you are describing is real. Long exposure to pornography does not just affect behavior, it gets a hold on the mind and heart. It can become an addiction that has the same kind of powerful grip as alcohol or drugs. It draws a person in, it wants more and more, and it can make you feel like a captive or a slave who cannot quit on your own strength. That is why the withdrawals, the restlessness, the sense that your brain is trying to rewire itself, are so difficult. You are not imagining it and you are not alone in that struggle. Many people have found themselves bound in this same way, needing more explicit material over time to get the same effect, and feeling trapped in a vice that will not let go.

The Bible shows that all sexual intimacy outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is outside God's design, and that is why this path always leads to bondage rather than freedom. It is also a spiritual battle. The enemy uses these images to inflame desire and to keep people ensnared, and our own strength is not enough to break free. Our only true power against it is prayer and the work of God in us.

I want to encourage you in the milestone you have reached. Every day you turn away is significant, and God sees your desire to be clean and free. At the same time, freedom does not come by willpower alone. It comes as God washes and renews the mind through His Word and as you walk in daily dependence on Christ.

Your mom's concern about you sleeping at the church building may feel discouraging, but honor her guidance. God does not require you to be in a particular building to meet with Him or to find victory. He meets you wherever you are. It would be good to talk calmly with her about what you are experiencing, including the withdrawals and the way your thoughts feel unsettled, so she can understand why you feel so much pressure. If you can, invite a trusted, mature believer, perhaps a parent or a godly older man who walks closely with Jesus, to know what you are facing and to pray with you regularly and check in with you. Isolation makes this battle harder. Light and honest accountability helps.

Here are some ways to keep moving forward by God's grace.

Flee from what triggers you. If certain devices, apps, times alone, or places make temptation stronger, take practical steps to stay away from them. Do not test yourself to see how close you can get without falling.

Fill your mind with something better. God renews the mind through Scripture. Let the Word wash your thoughts each day. Read the Psalms, read passages that speak of purity and renewal like Psalm 119:9 and Romans 12:2, and memorize verses you can pray when temptation comes. Pray honestly in the moment, asking Jesus to set you free and to turn your thoughts toward Him.

Stay connected. Keep praying, keep confessing quickly when you stumble, and keep walking with other believers who will encourage you toward holiness. Remember that progress is often slow. The rewiring of thought patterns takes time, and God is patient to complete the work He has begun in you.

I am praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the struggle, the withdrawals, the confusion, and the sincere desire to be free. Have mercy and set this mind free from the hold that pornography has had. Break the chains that have made him feel like a captive and wash away what has defiled his thoughts by Your Word. Renew his mind, strengthen him to flee what is evil and to pursue what is pure, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he finds greater joy in You than in anything this world offers. Give him comfort when he feels agitated, give him wise help from those around him, and give him hope that You are able to deliver completely. Keep him close to Jesus, who alone saves and makes us new. Amen.

Keep seeking the Lord day by day. If the pressure becomes overwhelming, reach out again to a safe person right away rather than facing it alone. God is faithful, and He is able to bring you into lasting freedom.

I have a lot on my mind at the moment, so this may be a lot. Firstly, I found out like yesterday that my brother is watching South park (he has watched it before, but some reason what happened yesterday just sparked a thing in my mind for me to be like this). Yesterday, the clip was mocking...
