We lift up ### and ### before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to hear your cries and move mightily on your behalf. You are not forgotten, and your longing to be reunited is seen by the One who ordains all things according to His perfect will.
First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are made righteous. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your hearts and ensure that you have both placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins and surrendering your lives to Him. This is the first and most critical step, for without Christ, we are separated from God and His blessings.
Now, regarding your marriage, we rejoice in your commitment to one another and your desire to be united in accordance with God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is meant to be honored and cherished. Genesis 2:24 tells us, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We pray that God would strengthen your bond and make a way for you to be together soon, according to His will.
However, we must also address the reality of your current situation. Living in separate countries while yearning to be together can be incredibly difficult, and we understand the emotional and spiritual strain this places on you both. Yet, we must also consider whether there are any obstacles—practical, spiritual, or otherwise—that may be hindering God’s timing. Are there visa issues, financial barriers, or other logistical challenges that need to be addressed in faith and wisdom? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in every step, trusting that He will direct your path.
Your request for urgent financial provision is also heard. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask, and He promises to provide for His children. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Yet, we must also ask: Are there steps you can take to steward what God has already given you? Are there opportunities to work, save, or seek wise counsel in managing your finances? God often provides through means, and He calls us to be faithful in both the big and small things.
We also pray for your health, strength, and emotional well-being. The separation you are enduring is not easy, and it can take a toll on your bodies and spirits. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." We ask the Lord to sustain you, to fill you with His peace, and to remind you daily of His presence with you, even in the waiting.
Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up ### and ### to You. Lord, You see their longing to be together, and You know the desires of their hearts. We ask that You would move in their lives in a mighty way, making a way for them to be reunited according to Your perfect timing and will. Father, we pray for open doors, favor with authorities, and provision for every need—financial, emotional, and spiritual.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their marriage. Help them to remain faithful to one another and to You, even in the midst of this trial. Guard their hearts against discouragement, impatience, or any temptation that may seek to divide them. Fill them with Your love, joy, and peace as they wait on You.
Father, we also pray for Your provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon them. Meet their financial needs, Lord, and give them wisdom in how to steward what You have given them. Provide opportunities for work, favor with employers, and creative solutions to the challenges they face.
We ask for healing and strength for their bodies, minds, and spirits. Renew their energy, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Remind them daily that You are with them, even when they feel alone. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, for You care for them.
Father, we also ask that You would draw them closer to You. If there are areas in their lives that need repentance or surrender, reveal those to them, Lord. Help them to walk in obedience to Your Word and to trust You completely. May their faith grow stronger as they wait on You, and may they experience the fullness of Your presence in their lives.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
### and ###, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord together in prayer, even from a distance. Use this time to grow in your faith, to deepen your relationship with Christ, and to prepare your hearts for the future He has for you. Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
If there are practical steps you can take—such as seeking counsel from your pastors, researching visa requirements, or exploring job opportunities—do not hesitate to act in faith. God often works through our obedience and effort, even as we trust in Him.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth and identity are found in Christ alone. Do not let the challenges of this season define you or cause you to lose hope. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a purpose for your lives. Hold fast to His promises, and know that we are standing with you in prayer.
