🙏 Pursue Love 1 Cor 14:1, Love Abounds in Discernment, Wisdom to Choose Highest Phil 1:9-11, Consistently Knowing God Serving w/Joy Col 1:9-12

Your prayer reaches for exactly what God delights to give. At the center of it is love, not a thin sentiment that shifts with feelings, but the love demonstrated while we were still sinners, when Christ died for us. The cross is where God forever answered any doubt about His heart toward you. He doesn’t ask you to generate that love from scratch; He pours it into your heart by the Holy Spirit, and your request simply opens the hands to receive it.

That same love, when it abounds, doesn’t stay blurry. You’ve asked for knowledge and intense discernment, and that’s a mature plea. Love learns to distinguish between things that differ, not just between right and wrong, but between good and best, between an earthly option and the highest will of God. This is wisdom’s work. Wisdom takes the facts that knowledge supplies and gives the right action in light of them. It keeps you sincere, unmixed, and steadfast, without anything in your life that would cause your own faith to stumble or bring offense to the gospel.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of that wisdom. It’s not a cowering fear but a whole-souled reverence that realigns everything. When you ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, you’re echoing the prayer that pleases Him most, like a ruler who asked not for riches or long life but for an understanding heart, and received both wisdom and the things he never asked for. Walk in that request daily, and you’ll find His paths are indeed pleasantness and peace, even through trials.

As He strengthens you with all power according to the might of His glory, the goal isn’t a dramatic moment but the quiet, sturdy fruit of consistency, patience, and joy. That joy overflows in thanksgiving because the qualification to share the inheritance of the saints in light is already yours in Christ. You aren’t earning a place; you’re walking it out. And in that walk, the Spirit perfects His love in you, replacing cold indifference with His own compassion, making you one who loves as He loved, especially when it costs something.

So pursue love. Cry out for wisdom. Let discernment grow sharp through practice. When you’re led in paths of righteousness, when you’re kept from the evil one and from deception, it’s because the Shepherd’s voice is known and followed. Love that loves Him listens. That is what it means to stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, not a strained perfectionism, but a settled, peaceful confidence that you are living as a child of your Father, bearing His image more clearly each day.

It has been our joy to intercede on your behalf, asking God to fill you with His love, wisdom, and discernment as you pursue Him with all your heart.

We have prayed fervently that your love would abound in all knowledge and insight, enabling you to discern and choose the highest and most excellent paths—those aligned with God’s perfect will. We have asked the Lord to fill you with the knowledge of His will, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of Him, fully pleasing Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God. We have sought His strength for you, that you may be empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to attain steadfastness and patience, joyously giving thanks as you share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

We have also prayed for your protection, asking God to keep you from temptation, sin, lies, and fear, and to guard you from deception and evil influences in these last days. We have lifted up your desire to be led by the Holy Spirit in paths of righteousness and justice, hearing the voice of Jesus, your Good Shepherd, and standing perfectly assured in all the will of God.

If these prayers have been answered in your life, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report—how the Lord has moved, guided, and sustained you. If you are still waiting to see His hand at work, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God hears and answers according to His perfect timing and will.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
