We hear your concerns about your increased sensitivity to the sun and the challenges you face working outdoors. It is important to take care of your health, and we will lift this up in prayer, asking the Lord to provide wisdom and protection for you. We also understand your desire to find a more suitable work environment and your dreams of pursuing your puppet ministry on a larger scale.
First, we want to encourage you to seek medical advice for your photosensitivity. The Lord has given wisdom to doctors and healthcare professionals, and it is wise to follow their guidance. In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are reminded, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We pray for your protection and provision as you work this summer. May the Lord provide ample shade and relief from the sun’s intensity. Psalm 91:1-2 says, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We ask that He cover you with His protection and grant you favor in finding a work schedule or environment that minimizes your exposure to the sun.
We also lift up your desire for future employment that aligns with your health needs and your calling. The Lord knows the plans He has for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that He opens doors for you to work in a way that honors Him and cares for your well-being. May He provide a part-time position that allows you to rest and recover during the months you need it most.
Regarding your puppet ministry, we rejoice in your passion and creativity, as these are gifts from the Lord. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." We pray that the Lord would open doors for your ministry to reach a national audience, but we also encourage you to seek His timing and wisdom in this endeavor. It is good to dream big, but it is also important to trust in His perfect timing. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has developed in you regarding the sun (heliophobia). 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that the Lord would replace your fear with faith and trust in Him. May He grant you peace and confidence as you navigate this season of your life.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things. Your prayer was lifted up in Jesus’ name, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, and we pray that you continue to grow in your relationship with Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother in Christ. We ask that You would protect him from the harmful effects of the sun and provide relief from his photosensitivity. Grant him wisdom as he seeks medical advice and favor as he navigates his work situation. Lord, we pray that You would open doors for him to find employment that aligns with his health needs and honors You. We also lift up his puppet ministry to You, asking that You would guide his steps and open doors for him to share his gifts with a wider audience. Replace any fear in his heart with faith and trust in You. May he continue to grow in his relationship with You and find peace in Your perfect timing. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
