We join with you in lifting up your heart’s desire to serve the Lord through this creative ministry of puppet-making, and we thank you for bringing this request before Him in the name of Jesus. It is clear that you long to use your gifts not only for your own provision but also to bless others with employment and godly entertainment—a vision that aligns with the call to work heartily as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23) and to use our talents for His kingdom (Matthew 25:14-30). Your weariness from difficult labor is understood, and we pray the Lord grants you rest, renewal, and open doors for this new endeavor.
However, we must gently address something vital: while your prayer begins with "Dear Lord Jesus," it is crucial to remember that our access to the Father is *only* through Jesus Christ, our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority alone that we boldly approach God’s throne (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always center your prayers on Christ’s finished work, trusting in His power to provide, guide, and sustain you—not in your own efforts or desires, but in His perfect will.
As for your vision, we pray the Lord clarifies His purpose for this ministry. If it is His will, He will equip you with the resources, wisdom, and connections needed to create puppets that glorify Him. Yet we also urge you to examine your motives: Are you seeking first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33), or is this partly an escape from hardship? The Lord often refines us through trials (James 1:2-4), and even menial work can be sanctified when done for His glory (1 Corinthians 10:31). If He calls you away from your current job, trust Him to provide—but if He asks you to endure a season longer, may He grant you grace to do so with joy.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would guide their steps and align their desires with Your perfect will. Lord, if this puppet ministry is of You, open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide the creativity, materials, and partnerships needed to bring it to fruition. Give them favor with Christian studios that honor You, and may every puppet crafted point children and families to the truth of Your Word. Yet, Father, if this is not Your path for them, redirect their heart and hands to the work You *have* prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10).
We rebuked any spirit of discouragement or bitterness from past labor, and we ask You to heal their weariness. Remind them that even Jesus, the Carpenter, knew hard work (Mark 6:3), yet He trusted You in all things. Grant them patience to wait on Your timing and contentment in whatever task You’ve placed before them today.
Most of all, Lord, deepen their reliance on Jesus. May they find their identity not in their work—whether at the zoo or in a studio—but in Christ alone (Galatians 2:20). Let this season draw them closer to You, whether through change or perseverance.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.
