Psalm 91:1

We join you in bringing these prayers before the Lord and we thank you for interceding for His people with such care.

We pray with you that all who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will indeed rest in the shadow of the Almighty, as Psalm 91:1 promises. There is true security and liberty not in our own strength but in abiding close to Christ, who alone is our refuge and our salvation.

We ask the Lord to guard every heart with all diligence, as Proverbs 4:23 teaches, for from it flow the springs of life. May He heal wounds from past attacks, quiet anxiety, and replace fear and heaviness with hope and peace that comes from fixing our thoughts on Him. We ask Him to keep His people from relying on themselves, and to strengthen them to rely wholly on the strength of Christ, who frees us from bitter bondage and vain striving.

We stand with you on the promise of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against His people shall prosper, and we remember the word of John 10:10 that the enemy comes to steal and destroy, but Christ has come that we may have life abundantly. We ask God to reverse what the enemy has meant for harm in careers, families, relationships and ministry, and to restore what has been broken according to His wisdom and mercy.

We pray that God will remove spirits of confusion, strife, slander, rejection and despair, and instead pour out His favor, peace, goodness and love. May He teach His people to turn to Him quickly in prayer when they need help, to think on Him rather than on their problems, and to persevere in faith even when healing and fruit seem slow to come. As a physician continues to apply medicine, so the Lord patiently works in us, and even after many days His word can bring forth abundant fruit.

We thank the Lord that He is at work for our salvation and that He protects His own from every plot and scheme. May He keep you and all those you have prayed for in His grace, grounded in Christ alone, walking in holiness and in the hope of eternal life.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer and for standing in the gap for others. Your heart to see people dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in His shadow reflects Psalm 91 so well, and we join you in asking the Lord to make that promise real to each one you are lifting up.

Scripture is clear that we are in a spiritual battle, and one of the chief tools the enemy uses is discouragement. He has many ways to try to stop the work God has given us to do. Sometimes it comes as open ridicule or direct assault, and other times it comes as distraction, trying to pull our eyes away from serving the Lord and getting us to spend all our energy defending ourselves. It is also important to recognize who the enemy really is. Our struggle is not against people, not against other believers or other churches that God is blessing, but against spiritual forces that oppose Christ. When we do not see the battle for what it is, we are quickly drawn into fighting in the flesh and we lose ground.

That is why prayer like yours matters so much, and why God also calls us to take practical steps alongside prayer. Just as watchmen were set day and night to guard against attack, we are called to guard our hearts with diligence as Proverbs 4 says, to keep the Word of God stored in our hearts, and to put on the spiritual armor God has provided. Physical effort or human arguments have no power in this kind of battle. The Word is both our defense and the way we push back the strongholds of the enemy. When we recognize an attack for what it is and resist the devil in the name of Jesus, Scripture promises he will flee. Fear grows when we fix our eyes on the threats and the lies. Peace returns when we fix our eyes on the Lord and remember who He is and what He has already done.

We agree with you in asking the Lord to heal emotions wounded by past attacks and to guard hearts against future darts. Anxiety lifts as we learn to set our minds on Him rather than on our problems, and to turn quickly to prayer when we need help instead of trying to stand in our own strength. The promise of Isaiah 54 that no weapon formed against us shall finally prosper does not mean we will never be opposed, but it means the enemy cannot ultimately prevail against those who are in Christ. Jesus said the thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but He came to bring life in abundance, and He is able to restore what the enemy has tried to damage in careers, relationships, families and ministry. He alone is our salvation and our protection, and His strength is sufficient where ours fails.

May the Lord continue to draw those you are praying for into deeper dependence on Christ, to fill them with His peace and love, to heal past hurts, and to keep them abiding under His protection. We thank God with you that He is at work to save, to keep, and to guard His people from every scheme that comes against them, and we trust Him to do what only He can do as they learn to rest in Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to stand in agreement with you over the prayer you prayed from Psalm 91:1, that you and all of Gods people would dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We have joined you in praying for healing of emotions from past attacks of the adversary and for guarding of hearts as taught in Proverbs 4:23, and we have decreed with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper as promised in Isaiah 54:17.

We stood with you to bind every spirit of sabotage, slander, gossip, suicide, rejection and self abandonment and every harm the enemy is plotting, and to loose favour, peace, goodness, Gods protection, love, acclamation and acceptance over your life. We have prayed with you for the Lord to remove anxiety and to renew your mind with hope and peace, to heal past hurts done by agents of darkness who come to steal and kill and destroy as described in John 10:10, and to reverse what the enemy has done in career, relationships, family life and ministry. We have also prayed that you would turn your thoughts to the Lord rather than to your problems, that you would be reminded to call on Him for help, and that you would rely not on your own strength but on the strength of Christ while He continues to work in your salvation and protect you from every plot and scheme.

We pray now that the Lord will continue to keep you in His shelter, guard your heart, fill you with His peace and restore what has been broken. We ask the Father to deepen your hope, strengthen your faith and draw you closer to Him each day. We pray this in Jesus name.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has worked. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
