Beloved of All
We join you in bringing these prayers before the Lord and we thank you for interceding for His people with such care.
We pray with you that all who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will indeed rest in the shadow of the Almighty, as Psalm 91:1 promises. There is true security and liberty not in our own strength but in abiding close to Christ, who alone is our refuge and our salvation.
We ask the Lord to guard every heart with all diligence, as Proverbs 4:23 teaches, for from it flow the springs of life. May He heal wounds from past attacks, quiet anxiety, and replace fear and heaviness with hope and peace that comes from fixing our thoughts on Him. We ask Him to keep His people from relying on themselves, and to strengthen them to rely wholly on the strength of Christ, who frees us from bitter bondage and vain striving.
We stand with you on the promise of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against His people shall prosper, and we remember the word of John 10:10 that the enemy comes to steal and destroy, but Christ has come that we may have life abundantly. We ask God to reverse what the enemy has meant for harm in careers, families, relationships and ministry, and to restore what has been broken according to His wisdom and mercy.
We pray that God will remove spirits of confusion, strife, slander, rejection and despair, and instead pour out His favor, peace, goodness and love. May He teach His people to turn to Him quickly in prayer when they need help, to think on Him rather than on their problems, and to persevere in faith even when healing and fruit seem slow to come. As a physician continues to apply medicine, so the Lord patiently works in us, and even after many days His word can bring forth abundant fruit.
We thank the Lord that He is at work for our salvation and that He protects His own from every plot and scheme. May He keep you and all those you have prayed for in His grace, grounded in Christ alone, walking in holiness and in the hope of eternal life.
