Psalm 88 Prayer

God,

[SIZE=11pt]In my desperation, I cry out to you.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Dark feelings are sweeping over me.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Dark thoughts are sweeping over me.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]I am being swept into awful places.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Where is the light of your help?[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Where?[/SIZE]

God,

I am caught in despair.

Trouble is everywhere.

I plead with you.

Lead me OUT of this darkness.

Lead me OUT of this feeling of isolation.

Lead me OUT of this pain.

Lead me OUT of ALL of this...

Rescue me... Today!

God,

My life makes no sense.

Where is your goodness?

This is too hard.

-

Today I feel

DESPERATE 

for your will

to make sense.

-

Today I feel

DESPERATE

to see your

goodness

in the land of the living.

-

Today I feel

DESPERATE

to change things.

-

What sense does this make?

[SIZE=11pt]Where is your help?[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Where?[/SIZE]

We cannot hide our heart from God.

He knows the deepest feelings

and the deepest thoughts that we have.

Do not be afraid

to speak to God.

~

Do not be afraid to shout out your pain.

~

Do not be afraid to question God.

~

 - -  Just….Just….don’t walk away from God. - - 

He is the one who will eventually

lead you out of this mess.

 

At some point during each difficult day,

God will reach out to you

to give you the opportunity

to choose to

firmly decide

to draw close to God

no matter what

is happening in your life.

-

If you refuse him day after day,

you will grow lukewarm and distant

from the one who loves you

with an everlasting love.

So, let it, in His arms, let all go and be set free,  Amen
