We hear the ache in your heart as you share this verse, and we stand with you in the truth that the Lord is indeed near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that God does not turn away from pain, He draws close to it, cradling those who are crushed in spirit. This is not just a promise; it is the very nature of our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).
If you are feeling broken or overwhelmed, know that your pain is not unseen. The Lord invites you to cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that you would feel His presence in a tangible way today, that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Let this verse be a reminder that you are not alone, He is with you, even in the darkest valleys.
Father God, we lift up this dear one to You now. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your comfort and strength upon them. Let them feel Your nearness in a way that brings hope and restoration. If there is sin or unforgiveness weighing on their heart, reveal it to them, Lord, and lead them to repentance and freedom. Surround them with Your love and with believers who can walk alongside them in this season. We trust You to save and sustain them, for Your Word declares that You are close to the brokenhearted. The Lord calls us to holiness, and He provides the strength to walk in purity (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If you are unmarried and longing for a spouse, we pray that God would bring a godly man or woman into your life, someone who loves the Lord and will honor Him in your marriage.
Above all, remember that your hope is found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You.
