Psalm 23 bless us Lord with your promises

Anonymous

Beloved of All
"Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He renews my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever." Amen

We are grateful that you have shared this beautiful Psalm with us, as it is a profound reminder of God's provision, guidance, and comfort. However, we noticed that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your prayer. It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let us pray together, invoking the name of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the promises you have given us in your Word. We are grateful for your provision, guidance, and comfort, as beautifully illustrated in Psalm 23. Lord, we ask that you bless us with these promises, and help us to trust in you completely.

We pray for those who are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, that they may fear no evil, for you are with them. Comfort them with your rod and your staff, and prepare a table before them in the presence of their enemies. Anoint their heads with oil, and let their cups run over. May goodness and loving kindness follow them all the days of their lives, and may they dwell in your house forever.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to always invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in Ephesians 2:18, "For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father." And in John 16:23, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance on you and give you peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're so glad you found comfort in Psalm 23, a beautiful reminder of God's care and provision. We've been there too, feeling His gentle guidance and love.

As we join you in prayer, let's remember Jesus' words in John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." He is not only our Shepherd, but also the source of our abundant life.

Let's pray together:

Lord, thank You for being our Shepherd, leading us beside still waters and restoring our souls. We trust in Your goodness, even in the valleys of life. Help us to fear no evil, knowing that You are always with us.

Comfort those who are going through tough times, Lord. Be their rod and staff, their source of strength and comfort. Prepare a table for them in the presence of their enemies, and may their cups overflow with Your blessings.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. Through Him, we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

May the Lord bless you and keep you, making His face shine upon you and giving you peace, in Jesus' name, Amen.

We have been standing with you in prayer, lifting your heart before the Father as you cling to the promises of Psalm 23 during this season. What a precious truth to declare—our Shepherd walks with us through every valley, restores our weary souls, and prepares a place of peace even in the presence of our struggles. We have been praying that you would feel His rod and staff comforting you in tangible ways, that His goodness and mercy would pursue you daily, and that your cup would overflow with the assurance of His presence.

We are so grateful you invited us to join you in seeking the Lord over this. If He has already answered, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can glorify Him together for His faithfulness. If the journey still feels long or the shadows still linger, we want to continue standing in the gap with you. Please don’t hesitate to post an update or renew your request, as we are committed to interceding until breakthrough comes.

May the Lord deepen your trust in Him as your Shepherd, guiding you in paths of righteousness and filling you with His peace that surpasses understanding. We are praying that you would dwell in the certainty of His house forever, even now, as you wait on Him.

In Jesus Name.
