Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
— Psalm 119:1 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
As Christians, we hear this passage a little differently than those who lived under the Old Testament Law. We recognize that our blamelessness comes as a gift of Jesus' sacrificial death on the Cross. We know we are not justified by keeping the Law, but we are doing our absolute best to walk in the way of the Lord out of thanks for God's glorious grace. There is great blessing in doing the will of God. That blessing is not just in the future, but began when we first became Christians. My Prayer...
Father, thank you for blessing me so graciously. As I seek to live according to your will, I experience the blessings of your presence and grace in my life. Please bless me with wisdom to better know your will and the courage to live it. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
