Beloved of All
Identify lies of the enemy, myself others and replace them with truth of scriptures so that I think correctly about God, His promises, Character and ability to answer prayer in Jesus name.

We come before the Lord with hearts open to His truth, seeking His wisdom to identify and uproot the lies of the enemy that have taken root in our minds. The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his deception is subtle, often twisting the truth just enough to lead us astray. But we stand firm in the knowledge that God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and it is by His truth that we are set free (John 8:32).

First, let us examine the lies we may believe about God Himself. The enemy whispers, "God doesn’t care about you," or "He is too busy to hear your prayers." But Scripture declares, "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). He is not a distant or indifferent God, He knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30). His love for you is unchanging, and His ears are attentive to your cries (1 Peter 3:12).

Another lie we often face is, "God’s promises aren’t for you, you’re not good enough." But the truth is, God’s promises are not based on our worthiness but on His faithfulness. "For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him" (2 Corinthians 1:20). His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9), and He delights in showing mercy (Micah 7:18). You are not defined by your failures but by the righteousness of Christ, who has made you blameless before God (Colossians 1:22).

The enemy also deceives us into believing, "Your prayers don’t matter, God won’t answer." But Jesus Himself said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19), and He invites us to come boldly before His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Even when His answers seem delayed, we trust that He works all things for our good (Romans 8:28).

Now, let us pray together, tearing down these strongholds and replacing them with the truth of God’s Word:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We confess that we have believed lies about You, lies that You are distant, unfaithful, or unwilling to answer our prayers. Forgive us, Lord, for doubting Your goodness and Your Word. We renounce every deception of the enemy and declare that Your truth is our foundation.

We choose to believe that You are near, that You hear us, and that Your promises are yes and amen in Christ. We reject the lie that we are unworthy of Your love, for we know that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). We stand on the truth that You are faithful to complete the good work You began in us (Philippians 1:6).

Lord, we ask You to renew our minds with Your Word. Help us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When the enemy whispers doubt, remind us of Your character, You are holy, just, merciful, and full of compassion. When we feel alone, remind us that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). When we feel weak, remind us that Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We choose to walk in the light of Your truth, trusting that You are working all things together for our good.

Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and Your unshakable promises. We trust You, we praise You, and we rest in Your truth. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

Let us also encourage one another to meditate on Scripture daily, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that cuts through the lies of the enemy. Memorize verses that speak to God’s character, His promises, and His faithfulness. Surround yourselves with believers who will speak truth into your lives and hold you accountable. The enemy seeks to isolate us, but we are stronger together in Christ.

If you find yourself struggling with persistent lies, we urge you to bring them into the light. Confess them to a trusted brother or sister in Christ, and allow them to pray with you and remind you of God’s truth. The enemy thrives in darkness, but "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5).

Finally, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We do not fight alone, we fight from a place of victory, for Christ has already disarmed the powers and authorities (Colossians 2:15). Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist (Ephesians 6:14), and let the Word of God dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16).

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Walk in His truth, and let His light guide your path.

We know how disorienting it is to realize that some of what we've believed about God isn't actually true, that the voices shaping our picture of Him have been unreliable. What you're describing isn't failure; it's the Spirit's work of clearing ground for something real. And it's surprisingly good news that you can name the problem so clearly: there are lies, and you want them replaced with truth. Many people live for years with a distorted sense of God without ever questioning where it came from, so you're already on good soil.

What often helps in seasons like this is to slow down and be specific. When a thought about God feels heavy or accusing, "He doesn't really answer me," "His promises aren't for my situation," "I'm being ignored", pause and ask where that thought came from. Did something in your history teach you that? Disappointment? A broken relationship? The enemy exploits those cracks, but so does our own wounded reasoning. Naming the source often loosens its grip enough to let actual truth in. As you do that, you don't have to hunt for verses alone. Ask God directly to show you what's true about Himself, and then sit with what He brings. His character hasn't changed; your perception is just being recalibrated.

We're grateful for your honesty in asking for this kind of pruning. It takes courage to admit that your thinking needs to be untangled, and courage like that is itself evidence of God's hand on you.

Lord Jesus, we ask for clarity and for steady, grounded confidence in who You actually are. Expose the specific lies this one has absorbed, from hardship, from the enemy, from old wounds, and replace them with the solid truth of Your word and Your character. Give eyes to see where false beliefs took root, and quiet the noise so Your voice is unmistakable. Teach this heart to rest in what's real rather than what feels true in a difficult moment. We ask this in Your faithful name.

The work of pruning is never pleasant to the flesh, yet it is needful for fruitfulness. You ask to discern the lies of the enemy, of your own heart, and of others, that you may be set free by the truth. Let us bring these falsehoods into the light, and dash them to pieces with the hammer of God’s Word.

One lie you shall often hear whispered by the adversary is this: that God’s character is not fixed in holiness and love, that His promises are uncertain, and that prayer is a vain exercise. This is the old serpent’s hiss: “Hath God said?” He would make you doubt the very faithfulness of the Most High. But the truth is immovable. Our God is not a man that He should lie. His holiness is the foundation of every promise. Though you should have seven years of unanswered prayer, yet suggest any other reason to your mind than one which would dishonor Him. Settle it in your soul, “He is holy.” His delays are not denials. His silence is not indifference. He who gave His own Son to die for you, surely in that precious blood there is more than sufficient reason for your faith in Him.

Another lie, often bred in your own bosom, is that your prayers must be perfectly formed or accompanied by deep feelings to be heard. This is a proud fable of the natural heart. The very essence of prayer is to put God in mind of what He has promised. You can never pray an inch beyond the tether of the promise with any assurance of being heard. Come, then, with your stammering tongue and your cold heart, and plead the Word: “Remember the Word unto Your servant.” Bring forth the covenant, spread it before the throne, and say, “Do as Thou hast said.” This is the prayer of faith that pleases God. Not the fine language, but the clinging to His own truth.

The world and even fellow believers may tell you that great faith is something complex and mystical, ill-suited to plain folk. Yet what is saving faith but this: to believe Christ’s word to be true, to appropriate that word unto thyself as spoken to thee, and to rest in it. That simple truth broke in upon my own dark mind like a new revelation. I had read the Scriptures, yet I had not learned that believing meant to take God at His word and lean my whole weight upon it. Do not perplex yourself with metaphysical questions. Trust your God, rely upon the atonement of His Son, this is the divinest exercise of the mind. To believe in God and His Christ is to be reconciled to God.

And when prayer is delayed, another lie creeps in, whispering: “Forsake the closet! Give up private devotion. It avails nothing.” This is a deadly counsel from the pit. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. Did not Jacob wrestle and say, “I will not let Thee go”? And yet his prayer was answered, though not in the way he expected. Wait upon the Lord with renewed importunity. Examine if there be any secret sin indulged, for failure in prayer may be caused by sin. Yet even that discovery is a mercy, for it drives you to the cleansing blood. When you are brought to a better mind and are more scrupulous and tender in fulfilling His commands, then your longings shall be satisfied.

The truth stands sure: no limit can be set to the power which lies in the divine expiation. Your weakness does not make the promise miscarry. The Spirit of the Lord alone must bless the truth, and He will bless only the truth. Therefore, fill your mouth with arguments from the Word. Plead the name of Jesus. Cry, “Quicken me in Thy way!”, for a dead, formal prayer is no prayer at all. Be as eager in your closet as you are in your daily business. Let your prayer be an index of the life within you.

Above all, remember that intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears. When you spread your own needs before Him, mingle them with pleas for others. This will foster love, stir your own soul, and bring you into sympathy with the great High Priest who ever liveth to make intercession. It will fit you to be God’s instrument when the answer comes.

So, cast out these lies. The truth is your shield. Lay hold on the character of God, holy, faithful, able. Lay hold on His promises, they are yea and amen in Christ. Lay hold on the throne of grace, prayer stirs His heart who is always mindful of His covenant. Never mind what I say, or what any man says, except as we echo the Word. Let your one concern be to know what God says. Go to your knees with your Bible open, and let the truth do its own work. The bare, unaltered truth of God will break what needs breaking, and heal what needs healing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The enemy whispers that prayer avails nothing, that faith is profitless, and that God is far off and unwilling. He suggests that if the Lord wills to give, your asking is needless. These are lies, and they must be rooted out. The truth of Scripture declares that what is impossible with men is possible with God. He who elected you is faithful, and no charge can be brought against His chosen. Do not, therefore, only believe the things you see with the eyes of the body, or demand a messenger from the dead; for by such reasoning you would doubt even the existence of God and the soul. Faith clings to the One who made a good confession before Pilate, the Truth Himself.

Yet note well: you must not imagine that you can lie idle and rely on the prayers of others while your own heart sleeps. Even the Apostle Paul did not say, "What need have I of prayer?" Prayer was made earnestly by the church for Peter. If you think you have no need, that very thought proves your great need. Be on the alert. Let your own soul be winged with prayer, like that dove covered in silver and gold, which flies into the judgment and shelters us from punishment. This prayer, born of a spiritual heart, the Spirit Himself helps, for He knows the mind of the spirit and intercedes.

Replace the lies with this: God desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. He is able. His promises are sure. Therefore, prune away every thought that belittles His power or His willingness to answer. When the enemy suggests you are beyond help, remember election. When your own heart murmurs that prayer is useless, recall that the Lord beholds your trembling and says, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Let that truth stand against all falsehood.

The pruning you desire is vital, because every false thought you accept will twist the way you see God, His character, and His readiness to answer when you pray. The enemy has been a liar from the beginning, and his strategy never changes. He whispers that God cannot be trusted, that His promises will not hold for you, that you are the exception to His faithfulness. He also uses the crowd around you to make you feel out of step, as though conformity is the only path to acceptance. But what everyone else is doing has never been the measure of truth. Those thoughts are not from God.

To replace those lies, you must go back to the one source that never changes. All Scripture is breathed out by God, which means it is His own revelation of Himself. I would rather take God's word for who He is than rely on shifting emotions or the opinions of others. The truth about His character is settled forever: He is merciful, He delights to answer, and He is actively working in your life to conform you to the image of Christ. There are no coincidences when God's hand is leading you.

But it is possible to possess the truth and yet not let it possess you. Many can quote the right verses and yet live as though God had never spoken, especially when trials come. Lies take root when truth remains a mental agreement rather than something practiced and clung to in the dark hours. So the pruning must involve not only identifying the lie, but actively replacing it with a specific promise. Write it down. Speak it back to God. Let His unfailing word anchor your soul, because His promises are the solid ground on which hope stands.

As you do this, be alert to the hidden lies the enemy sows. He will suggest that unanswered prayer means God is distant or that His power has failed. But faith and patience inherit the promises. God's timing and His ways are perfect; what feels like a delay is never a denial. Jesus Christ came to fulfill every promise, and in Him you have full access to the Father. You can come boldly to the throne of grace, not because you earned a hearing, but because He shed His blood to secure it for you.

So when a thought contradicts God's revealed character, call it what it is: a lie, no matter how reasonable it sounds. Replace it with truth from Scripture. If the lie says God has abandoned you, the truth is that He has promised never to leave you. If the lie says you have no right to ask, the truth is that Christ is your righteousness, and God answers according to His mercy. If the lie says your situation is hopeless, the truth is that His word is settled in heaven and cannot fail. Prune relentlessly and feed on the promises. His word will stand when every assault against it falls, and as you align your thinking with it, you will find your prayer life strengthened and your soul at rest.
