Proverbs, Chapter 4

4:1 Hear, [my] sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:

4:2 For I give you+ good doctrine; Don't forsake+ my law.

4:3 For I was a son to my father, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

4:4 And he taught me, and said to me: Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live;

4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding; Don't forget, neither decline from the words of my mouth;

4:6 Don't forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.

4:7 Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom; Yes, with all your getting get understanding.

4:8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you to honor, when you embrace her.

4:9 She will give to your head a chaplet of grace; A crown of beauty she will deliver to you.

4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; And the years of your life will be many.

4:11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in paths of uprightness.

4:12 When you go, your steps will not be straitened; And if you run, you will not stumble.

4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; don't let her go: Keep her; for she is your life.

4:14 Don't enter into the path of the wicked, And don't walk in the way of evil men.

4:15 Avoid it, don't pass by it; Turn from it, and pass on.

4:16 For they don't sleep, except they do evil; And their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.

4:18 But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shines more and more to the perfect day.

4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: They don't know at what they stumble.

4:20 My son, attend to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.

4:21 Don't let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart.

4:22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.

4:24 Put away from you a wayward mouth, And perverse lips put far from you.

4:25 Let your eyes look right on, And let your eyelids look straight before you.

4:26 Make level the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.

4:27 Don't turn to the right hand nor to the left: Remove your foot from evil.

Bless the Lord o my soul and all that it is within me. Bless His holy name.  This is my prayer today.

Let us all remember that we have an eternal Father who loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die for our sins. Come to Him in awe and in reverence.  Worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness.  Proverbs 4.10  Hear my son and receive my sayings.  Yes Lord, we are listening all you have to say.  We want to serve You in our church this Sunday as song leaders, ushers, greeters, Sunday school teachers and whatever You want us to do. We will do it gladly.

Can you still remember something hateful someone told and you got really angry but said nothing. Instead you went right to your room and started praying for that soul that had an angry attitude toward other people.  This is the correct atitude we should have when someone makes us feel horrible because of our belief in Jesus or our positive witness to others.  Rejoice in the Lord always. I say. Rejoice.  Because your reward is gona be great in heaven where Jesus will give you a crown of life for being faithful to the end. Put away from you a waywad mouth.  And perverse lips put away far from you.  Proverbs 4.24  Jesus wants us to have a pure and holy heart and for that reason we should start keeping our mouths in check.  Jesus loves you so much and does not want you to suffer a lot because of a wayward mouth.  Gossip is not beneficial for anyone.  Bless other peoples lives and your life will be blessed too.

Through Thy precepts I get understanding, therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119.104,5 Those false teacher, the false preachers and the cults will be judged by God and we only have to do is to pray and fast for the salvation of their souls. Dear Jesus, save those who use your word in the wrong way. They try to get richer and richer every day and make your people poor. Save them we pray. Proverbs 4.23 Keep your heart with all diligence. For out of it are the issues of life. May my heart be closer to You lord Jesus. Come to our services we pray and save those souls that are in trouble and the devil sent tribulations in their lives. We pray in Jesus name. Amen

Burdening problems took my mind off sharing the gospel to others and visiting those who need help specially the elderly and the shut ins. Sometimes we just need that special nudge that can come from a friend, our pastor, our Sunday school teachers or anyone else who is closer to God. Jesus want to speak to us down deep in our souls through us and be a blessing to all we come in contact with. Proverbs 4.23 Keep your heart with all diligence. For out of it are the issues of life. If we love Jesus our main goal will be to serve Him with our whole heart, mind and soul. Help us Lord Jesus to do this. Amen

How you pray will determine what kind of life you live.  If you only pray small, ordinary short prayers then your life will be small, get by and ordinary living.  Pray big, ask God for great things to happen at your church, in your life, with all your relatives and you will see the miracle working God coming to your home, your church and down deep in your heart. But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light. That shines more and more to the perfect day.  Proverbs 4.18  Jesus is the light of the world and we are His followers carring the light to others.  Let our light shine over to them and lead them to salvation of their souls for eternity.

Every good and perfect gift is from above. Coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.  James 1.17a  Let us all be thankful to God for the blessings He sent to each one of us.  Giving us hope for eternal salvation In Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. Proverbs 4.2  For a  give you a good doctrine. Do not forsake my law.   God is pleading with each one to never give up His doctirne, His teachings and we must follow and obey it.  Let us all start doing this.  His teachings are eternal and for the good of our souls.

Open my eyes so I can see. What you showed me of the wonders of your hands, I am stranger in this part of the world, give clear direction. My soul is starved and hungry. Insatiable for your nourishing commands. Psalm 119.17 The Lord will hear our prayers if we come humble before His holy throne. Exalt her, and she will promote you. Proverbs 4.8a Wisdom comes from God. Let us exalt God and He will give us wisdom above everyone else.

Precious Holy Spirit, teach us how to read your word and help us to obey what is in it.

The power of believer walking together begins with trust in the Lord with all our hearts, minds and soul.  To obey His word and put it in to practice.  If Jesus told us to visit the sick, we should do it.  If He said that without holiness no man shall see the Lord, the, we should be holy in every action we take.  Proverbs 4.19a   The way of wicked is darknes.  Let the light of Jesus shine forth toward all wicked you see everywhere.  Tell them that He loves them and want to change their hearts and souls.
