Proverbs, Chapter 23

23:1 When you sit to eat with a ruler, Consider diligently him who is before you;

23:2 And put a knife to your throat, If you are a man given to appetite.

23:3 Don't be desirous of his dainties; Seeing they are deceitful food.

23:4 Don't weary yourself to be rich; Cease from your own wisdom.

23:5 Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For [riches] certainly make themselves wings, Like an eagle that flies toward heaven.

23:6 Don't eat the bread of him who has an evil eye, Neither desire his dainties:

23:7 For as he thinks inside himself, so he is: Eat and drink, he says to you; But his heart is not with you.

23:8 The morsel which you have eaten you will vomit up, And lose your sweet words.

23:9 Don't speak in the hearing of a fool; For he will despise the wisdom of your words.

23:10 Don't remove the ancient landmark; And don't enter into the fields of the fatherless:

23:11 For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their cause against you.

23:12 Apply your heart to instruction, And your ears to the words of knowledge.

23:13 Do not withhold correction from the child; [For] if you beat him with the rod, he will not die.

23:14 You will beat him with the rod, And will deliver his soul from Sheol.

23:15 My son, if your heart be wise, My heart will be glad, even mine:

23:16 Yes, my heart will rejoice, When your lips speak right things.

23:17 Don't let your heart envy sinners; But [be] in the fear of Yahweh all the day long:

23:18 For surely there is a reward; And your hope will not be cut off.

23:19 Hear, my son, and be wise, And guide your heart in the way.

23:20 Don't be among winebibbers, Among gluttonous eaters of flesh:

23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty; And drowsiness will clothe [a man] with rags.

23:22 Listen to your father who begot you, And don't despise your mother when she is old.

23:23 Buy the truth, and don't sell it; [Yes,] wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

23:24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; And he who begets a wise child will have joy of him.

23:25 Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her who bore you rejoice.

23:26 My son, give me your heart; And let your eyes delight in my ways.

23:27 For a prostitute is a deep ditch; And a foreign woman is a narrow pit.

23:28 Yes, she lies in wait as a robber, And increases the betrayers among man.

23:29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?

23:30 Those who tarry long at the wine; Those who go to seek out mixed wine.

23:31 Don't look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it goes down smoothly:

23:32 At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like an adder.

23:33 Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things.

23:34 Yes, you will be as he who lies down in the midst of the sea, Or as he who lies on the top of a mast.

23:35 They have stricken me, [you will say], and I was not hurt; They have beaten me, and I did not feel it: When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

Lord prepare me to be a sancturary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving I will be a living sancturary all for you.  This is my desire today and I hope it will be yours too. Pure and holy all for Jesus. What a wonderful presence we feel when we draw closer to the heart of Jesus. Do not let your heart envy sinners. Prov. 23.17a  No, I am not envying sinners instead I am praying for each one of them specially all the scammers, liers, thieves, impersonators and those who have gone away from God. Please Jesus bring them all to church and see that Jesus can save their souls and change their lives. In Your name. Amen

Wonderful counselor, Mighty God. Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.  These beautiful words should be in our hearts and souls.  Blessing the Lord at all times.  I was seeker of the light in a dark world.  I looked for truth but settled for lies.  The humanists and the agnostics tried to get me. But Jesus saved me and showed me the light.  Blessed be his holy name. Amen

Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak the right things. Prov. 23.16 Would you please make Gods heart rejoice when your lips speak right things like praying for others, praising and adoring His holy name, sharing the gospel to all coworkers and friends you find in the street and last but not least. All your relatives need to hear Gods word and salvation of their souls so they too will enter heaven and rejoice with all the angels and the saints and loved ones that have gone before us. Blessed Jesus, save us from temptations and sins we pray in Your name. Amen

You sent abundant rain Oh God.  Psalm 68.9   Yes Lord Jesus, you have been very faithful to all of us and we just thank you so much. Your goodness and your mercy had been real in our lives.  Healing us from cancer, from the torments of hell and from noisy neighbors whom you have changed their hearts and souls.  Do not eat bread of him who has an evil eye.  Proverbs 23.6a  Yes Lord, we will not eat bread from the wicked but we pray that you will save their souls and change their lives specially of those who are impersonators, scammers and liers.  In Jesus name. Amen

Some boast in chariots and some in horses. But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God.  Psalm 20,7  Our God love us so much and He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins so we can go to heaven.  That we should boast every single day of our lives.  Because He lives,...we can see tomorrow a better day and believe that He will take us through all our trials and tribulations.  Proverbs 23.16   Yes, my son, my heart will rejoice when you speak right things.   Make  Jesus heart very happy today speaking right things to others.  Praying for them and visiting all the sick people you see.  Read the Bible to them.  God will honor you and the work you have done for Him.

We are first to love God and then the second commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. How are we gona love those who hate us? Well, get on your knees and pray, fast and ask Jesus to save the souls of those who are against you and hate you. God alone can turn that heart from hate to love and from sinners to saved souls that are going to heaven because of our lives lived according to Gods purpose. Proverbs 23.7a For as he thinks inside himself, so is he. Let us all think just as Jesus thought, say just as Jesus said and live just as Jesus lived. That way our life will shine and be a blessing to those who hope for eternal life just as we do.

This things I have written to you who believe in the Son of God. So that you may know that you have eternal life.  1 John 5.13  This is our wonderful hope we have in Jesus alone.  The hope of eternal life.  In Him we live and have our being.  Let us all serve Him with joy and hapiness in our lives. Proverbs 23.16a  Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak right things.    Let us all rejoice in the Lord because what He has spoken long ago, still works today and will work forever when we serve God with our whole heart, mind and soul.
