Proverbs, Chapter 21

21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of Yahweh as the watercourses: He turns it wherever he will.

21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; But Yahweh weighs the hearts.

21:3 To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.

21:4 A high look, and a proud heart, [Even] the lamp of the wicked, is sin.

21:6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue Is a vapor driven to and fro by those who seek death.

21:7 The violence of the wicked will sweep them away, Because they refuse to do justice.

21:8 The way of him who is laden with guilt is exceedingly crooked; But as for the pure, his work is right.

21:9 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, Than with a contentious woman in a wide house.

21:10 The soul of the wicked desires evil: His fellow man finds no favor in his eyes.

21:11 When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise; And when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

21:12 The righteous man considers the house of the wicked, [How] the wicked are overthrown to [their] ruin.

21:13 Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, He also will cry, but will not be heard.

21:14 A gift in secret pacifies anger; And a present in the bosom, strong wrath.

21:15 It is joy to the righteous to do justice; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.

21:16 [The] man who wanders out of the way of understanding Will rest in the assembly of the spirits of the dead.

21:17 He who loves pleasure will be a poor man: He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.

21:18 The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; And the betrayer [comes] in the stead of the upright.

21:19 It is better to dwell in a desert land, Than with a contentious and fretful woman.

21:20 There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; But [a] foolish man swallows it up.

21:21 He who follows after righteousness and kindness Finds life, righteousness, and honor.

21:22 A wise man scales the city of the mighty, And brings down the strength of its confidence.

21:23 Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.

21:24 The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name; He works in the arrogance of pride.

21:25 The desire of the sluggard kills him; For his hands refuse to labor.

21:26 There is one who covets greedily all the day long; But the righteous gives and does not withhold.

21:27 The sacrifice of the wicked is disgusting: How much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!

21:28 A false witness will perish; But the man who hears will speak so as to endure.

21:29 A wicked man hardens his face; But as for the upright, he establishes his ways.

21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against Yahweh.

21:31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle; But victory is of Yahweh.

The soul of the wicked desires evil.  How true this today.  We see lost souls of the wicked going to hell.  We mus share Jesus  to them and pray that God will touch their hearts, minds and soul.  Specially for our nextdoor neighbors who need God in their homes.   Parties and drinking will not make them happy at all.   Only Jesus is the giver of joy to our heart.

Let us all long in our present life to be like Jesus in every sense of the word.   In every area of our lives, let us live just as Jesus lived.   Walk just as Jesus walked, and pray just as He prayed.   Though it seems an endless battle to overcome evil and sin, Jesus is on our side.  And the pain that well up inside of us... Jesus words will confort our heart.   I am sorry Lord, for how I have reacted when I read Your word.  I want to be like Jesus, full of mercy and compassion toward those who suffer so much.  To do righteiousnes and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrife.   Help us o Lord to pray for others who need You today.   May our deeds and words be acceptable to You.  Amen

This road was filled with sadness and lonely souls who were looking for someone to help them and there was no one at all.  So many heard the call but no one listened.  Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.  If you just say that I will stay with You o Lord, I will never tread down that broken road again but instead I will follow You aldl the way to glory.  The soul of the wicked desires evil.    O my Lord, I wil pray for those wicked souls that are so far away from You.   I will walk in holiness and honesty before Jesus.  Glorify Your name o Lord.  Help us to be all you want us to be from now and to the ends of the earth.

I'm particularly moved by the sadness of 21:13. Thank you for posting.  It's quite interesting that I've been reading this chapter and some of Solomon's words of wisdom recently. I hope I've received my fill of the message God has intended for me by bringing this chapter more than once to my attention. Thank you for the reading. Kindest Regards, Smangele

Jesus is always with us.  I know He cares for us and love us so much.  All our worries and fears He carries away from us and send His peace to all of us who believe.  The soul of the wicked desires evil.  Praying and fasting for all the wicked and those who left the church for no reason at all.  May  Jesus make them come back to HIm again.  No matter where we go, He will always be with us.  He is our best friend ever.

A piece of me went away when he departed.  He was my mentor, my confidant whom Jesus has sent.  An ocean of tears I cried and rivers of sadness came to me.  But Jesus was right there for me.  Conforting, telling me that He is in a better place.  Read My word He said.  I grab Gods word and read this... To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.   Then I thought, O blessed Lord, I shall follow righteousness and truth.  Thou o Lord are truth.

What would life would be without our precious heavenly Father who love us with an everlasting love.  Without the towering presence of Jesus we would be lost and no one would come to help us.   Precious Jesus we love You so much.  You make our lives meaningful and we shall rest on You all the days of our lives till You call us all to heaven.  The righteous man considers the house of the wicked.   Yes Lord, we pray for them.  We invite them to church and we want them to get saved.  Dear God, save the souls of all the wicked next door neighbors who love to have parties all night.  Save their souls we pray.  Amen

At the end of our days we should assess the days action.  What did we do for Jesus during the day?   Did I share my faith to my coworkers?  To see if we moved closer to the heart of Jesus or just moved away from Him an join the world.  There is no wisdom, nor understanding nor counsel against Yahweh.   Nothing in this world will come against the precepts of Gods wisdom.  All we have to do is to read Gods word daily and obey what it says.

Life is something we have been blessed with.  We are here to praise and honor God above all things.  We never know when we shall be called by the Lord to be in heaven with HIm.  In the main time, we should be singing songs of praise and honor that is pleasing to the Lord.  Reading His word and obeying His commands.  To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.   Live each day full of happiness and joy before the Lord because He is pleased with our obedience to Him more than anything else in this world.
