Proverbs, Chapter 1

1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;

1:3 To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity;

1:4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:

1:5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsels:

1:6 To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

1:7 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; [but] the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

1:8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, And don't forsake the law of your mother:

1:9 For they will be a chaplet of grace to your head, And chains about your neck.

1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent.

1:11 If they say, Come with us, Let us lay in wait for blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;

1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those who go down into the pit;

1:13 We will find all precious substance; We will fill our houses with spoil;

1:14 You will cast your lot among us; We will all have one bag:

1:15 My son, don't walk in the way with them; Refrain your foot from their path:

1:17 For in vain is the net spread In the sight of any bird:

1:18 And these lay wait for their own blood; They lurk secretly for their own lives.

1:19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; It takes away the life of its owners.

1:20 Wisdom cries aloud in the street; She utters her voice in the broad places;

1:21 She cries in the most noisy places; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she utters her words:

1:22 How long, you+ simple ones, will you+ love simplicity? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

1:23 Turn+ at my reproof: Look, I will cause my spirit to gush out on you+ I will make my words known to you+.

1:24 Because I have called, and you+ have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man has regarded;

1:25 But you+ have set at nothing all my counsel, And would have none of my reproof:

1:26 I also will laugh in [the day of] your+ calamity; I will mock when your+ fear comes;

1:27 When your+ fear comes as a storm, And your+ calamity comes on as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish come upon you+.

1:28 Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me:

1:29 For they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of Yahweh:

1:30 They didn't want my counsel; They despised all my reproof.

1:31 Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.

1:32 For the backsliding of the simple will slay them, And the careless ease of fools will destroy them.

1:33 But whoever harkens to me will stay securely, And will be quiet without fear of evil.

1.10 Do not go with sinner who entice you to do bad things. In other words ... God want us to live a holy and pure life before Him and those who surround us. My son, if sinners intice you. Do not consent. What a wonderful advise to all people who love to cheat their wives or lie or do anything bad. May God open their eyes and let them read what His precious Word is tellling us. My prayer today is that all people should stay away from sin and temptations. May the Holy Spirit guide them and protect each one of Gods dear children

Amen

I also think that laying in wait for blood is more about doing harm intentionally to others for your own gain, the way of the simpleton to mock wisdom, learning, and the restraint of those who are worthy. Laying in wait to sabotage the positive hard work of others and entrap them in the webs of deceit. I think the laying in wait can also apply to those who seek to provoke with words to incite violence, the accusers with no proof, the gossips, and the judges who have a plank in their eye. There are so many ways these wonderful proverbs apply and can be acknowledged in our daily living. I hope I've made some sense of the word.

Wisdom cries aloud in the streets.  When are we gona hear wisdom crying aloud in front of our house? The messages on TV could be a blessing in itself but we see a lot of crime, and all kinds of sinful acts on it that we have to go on our knees and start praying to God to open up new Christian TV or even radio. God speaks to us through the Word, the people who live a holy life and those who are serving Him in many ways. Let us open our eyes and ears to hear God speaks to our hearts. Pray that more Chrstian TV and radio will open up in our area so we can hear the gospel of Jesus more often. Souls will be saved and Christians will be uplifted in their faith.

My son, if sinners entice you. Do not consent.  Wonderful news for all of us for the new year. Temptations abound and sinners always tell Gods people to drink, party, do ugly things so God will get so mad and will send all kinds of sickness so we will repent of what we have done. Specially HIV, siphylis, ghonorrea and even cancer. Dear Jesus please help us to be clean and pure in our personal and social life. Help us not to go with sinners advise to do evil or forget to pray or read our Bible every day. Help us not to consent in our minds to eat junk food, or not exercise. Help us keep fit for your glory. In Jesus name. Amen

Jesus my lord, we love you and praise your holy name. Oh tell of his love, and sing of his praise, whose robe is the light inhabits in glory. We come to your feet, sweet Jesus we praise, We come to honor your holy name.  The wise man may hear, and increase in learing. 1.5  May our ears hear the words you have spoken long ago. Today is relevant as it was in old times. Oh gratefully sing of his power and his love towards us and the whole world. Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words will never pass away. How true, how wonderful. We have this letter from God to meditate and to be near or Father who is in heaven and it is in the depths of our own hearts. The ancient of days never old, never dies away.  We certainly worship you and praise you forever. Amen
