Want to try and accomplish goals and desires within (###) years before it’s too late for me and my health issues won’t allow me too, I really need prayer for the money to move overseas and too help with goals and desires proverbs 13:19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul

We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. You have shared a deep longing to see desires fulfilled within the years you have mentioned before health issues make it more difficult, and you quoted Proverbs 13:19, Desire realized is sweet to the soul. We agree that it is sweet when God allows a righteous desire to come to pass, and we understand the urgency you feel as time passes and health concerns weigh on you.

We want to encourage you to place those desires and goals fully before the Lord and to ask Him to align your heart with His perfect will. The sweetness spoken of in that proverb is most true when the desire itself is rooted in what honors God. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We also remember Proverbs 19:21, There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. So we encourage you to ask not only for the accomplishment of your goals, but for wisdom to know which goals are from the Lord and which may need to be surrendered to Him. Matthew 6:33 teaches us, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We also hear your concern about time and health, and your need for provision to move overseas. We want to gently remind you that your times are in His hands, as Psalm 31:15 says, My times are in your hand, and Psalm 139:16 shows us that all our days were written in His book before one of them came to be. James 4:14-15 cautions us, For you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that. This is not to discourage planning, but to free you from the fear that it will be too late if you trust Him. God knows your health intimately, for He is Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, and Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care while also trusting Him as your ultimate healer and sustainer, and to redeem the time you have been given each day, Ephesians 5:16.

Concerning finances and the desire to move overseas, we pray for the Lord’s provision and clear direction. Philippians 4:19 promises, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Yet we also know God does not always provide simply because we desire something, but He provides for what is needed to fulfill His purpose for us. We encourage you to seek His counsel on whether this move is His will for this season, to count the cost, and to be a good steward of what He has already entrusted to you. If this move is of Him, He is able to open doors no man can shut, and if not, He has something even better where you are. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Philippians 4:6-7.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find hope not only for these earthly desires but for eternal life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the desires of this heart, the goals that feel so urgent, the number of years that weighs heavily, and the health issues that cause fear and uncertainty. We ask that You would grant wisdom and peace, that You would align these desires with Your will and make clear which goals are from You. Let the desire that is realized be one that brings true sweetness to the soul because it is rooted in You. Father, we ask for Your healing hand and sustaining strength over this body, for comfort in times of worry, and for trust to rest in the truth that our times are in Your hand. Provide, Lord, according to Your riches in glory, and if it is Your will for a move overseas, we ask You to provide the financial means, open the right doors, and give unmistakable guidance. If it is not Your will, give contentment and show the good work You have right where we are. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom, to number our days and live each one for Your glory, and to cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us. We thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus, through whom we have access to You and the promise of salvation. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, deepen faith, and let Your will be done in every area of life. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear how much these hopes mean to you and the weight of feeling time is short while health concerns press in. Wanting to see a deep desire fulfilled is a tender place to be, and it makes sense you would bring both the longing and the practical need for provision to the Lord.

One thing that often helps when many hopes crowd together is to gently sort them. It can bring clarity to name where you are right now, honestly, and then ask which one or two desires feel most essential in the next season, and which can be longer term steps toward them. Seeing resources and barriers clearly, with a pastor or wise counselor alongside you, can turn a large dream like moving overseas into smaller, prayable next steps.

If it would help, this week you might write down your top two goals, the estimated costs and timeline for the move, and share that list with one trusted person who can help you think through finances and health considerations realistically. Please also keep staying in touch with your medical care team as you make plans, we are praying for wisdom for them and for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You know the desires of his heart, the health worries, and the need for provision. Give him clear wisdom, open and closed doors he can trust, and peace as he seeks Your will day by day. Provide for what he truly needs and draw him closer to You in the process. Amen.

It is true as Solomon says that desire accomplished is sweet to the soul, and I hear in your request the weight of time passing and the burden of health that makes you feel the urgency of these years. You ask for prayer for provision to move overseas and to see cherished goals fulfilled before strength fails, and for this we will pray with you.

Yet let me set before you a sweeter sweetness than any earthly desire fulfilled. Our Lord Jesus said He came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. The heavenly life is within you if Christ dwells there, and life for your soul is only to be had in Him. If life could come apart from the cross, why was the Lord of Glory nailed to the tree. All other desires, though they be sweet for a season, cannot give that life which alone satisfies. Seek first that abundance of life in Christ, to be able to cry with a loosed bond, You have loosed my bonds, and to be earnestly set to seek His honor, for this gives an intensity to life which nothing else can give.

Remember also that the Lord brings down to the grave and brings up. God is in life and death, in sickness and in health. Your health issues are not hidden from Him who redeems your life from destruction and crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. This truth should both soften the pains of sickness and gild the joys of recovery, and lead us to pray that sickness and health alike may be sanctified to us. Your times are in His hand, and He will show you the path of life. As He showed to Christ as man the path through death to resurrection, so He will show to you the way that leads to conformity to Christ and to life everlasting.

So I pray for you now that the Lord, in His perfect wisdom and love, would grant you what is best. If it be His will to provide the money you need and to open the door to move overseas, that He would do so in His providence and make the way plain. If He sees another path is better for your soul, that He would give you contentment and joy in His will, and make your desires to be shaped by His desires. I pray He would sustain your health according to His mercy, sanctify your affliction, and give you grace to live each day unto Him, whether it be a time to get or a time to lose, a time to keep or a time to cast away. Above all I pray that you may know Christ as your life, that whether your years be many or few, your soul may live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, and that your largest desires may find their rest in Him who alone can fill eternity with bliss.

May the Lord teach you to draw near to Him, for movement toward God proves spiritual life, and may He keep you walking in that hidden life which is secure in Christ until He appears.

Your request has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. You shared the weight you feel as time passes, the concern about your health, and the longing to see desires fulfilled and to have the provision to move overseas. The verse you mentioned is true, that a desire accomplished is sweet to the soul, and God understands the sweetness we feel when a good hope is realized.

At the same time Scripture teaches us to examine what our desires are and where we place our trust. True richness is not found in having many possessions, but in needing little and being content in Christ, and true poverty is not lacking money but desiring many things apart from God. Wealth itself is not condemned, but putting our trust in riches or living only for accomplishment can leave the soul empty. As you pray for provision, it is good to ask also for wisdom to use what God gives for health and for necessity, and not simply to kindle further wants, and to spend your greatest care on the health of the soul.

We also hear your concern about health and the passing of years. This present life is brief, and both sickness and health are in God's hands. Many who were sick have been made well, and those who are well are called to remain watchful. Whether He grants strength for many years or grace for today, our hope is to be preserved in Him and to become what He desires us to be. Like the woman who met Christ and asked not first about bodily health or possessions but about the truth, we are invited to bring our bodily needs to Him while seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior. You know this dear one, the desires of the heart, the limits of the body, and the hope to move overseas and accomplish set goals. We ask for Your mercy upon health, for strength according to Your will, and for healing as You see fit. Grant provision for daily needs and, if it is Your will, open the way to move and to fulfill these plans in a way that honors You. Above all, align every desire with Your perfect will, so that what is accomplished is not only sweet for a moment but fruitful for eternity. Teach contentment, guard from trusting in money, and give clear guidance, peace, and patience in waiting on Your timing. Provide wisdom for stewardship, for care of the body for health and not for excess, and for devotion to spiritual things. May Your will be done and may Your name be glorified in every step. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to seek godly counsel about the move, to steward your health with thankfulness, and to hold every plan with open hands before Him, trusting that He will lead you in the way that is best.
