Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in bringing your family before the Lord who is our refuge and strength. We thank God with you for each new day He gives to you and your children, and for His promise to guard those who trust in Him.
We pray with you for the covering of Christ over your home, your minds, hearts, and bodies. We ask the Lord to fill you and your children with His peace that surpasses all understanding, to keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and to clothe you with the full armor of God so that you may stand firm against every spiritual attack. We ask Him to let your home be a place of light, love, and fellowship, where His Spirit guides every step and His angels keep watch according to His will.
We lift up your son to the Lord for healing and restoration. By His stripes we are healed, and nothing is impossible with God. We ask the Father to grant him calmness, gentleness, and joy, to ease anxiety and sensory distress, to heal memories of trauma, and to give wisdom and grace to you and to every caregiver who serves him, that they may bring out the best in him for the glory of God.
We pray also for your younger daughter. We thank God for her studies and for the respectful and kind young man who honors her and your family and shows gentleness to your son. We ask the Lord to keep their courtship pure and honoring to Him, to surround them with godly friendships, to grant her health and strength, wisdom and favor in her studies and work, and to help them both walk in self control and holiness as they seek His will.
For your older daughter we pray with special care and truth in love. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sharing the privileges of marriage outside of that covenant does not honor God and does not give the rights of marriage. Because we love her and want God's best for her, we cannot ask God to bless that arrangement, but we do ask Him to bless her with clarity, conviction, and courage. We pray that the Lord in His loving kindness would draw her to repentance and to a life of purity that honors Him, that He would break every ungodly tie and controlling influence, frustrate every scheme that brings division and isolation, and restore her spiritual clarity, faith, and gratitude for the family God has given her. We pray that she would see that her worth is found in Christ alone, that she would hunger for what is holy and good, and that if it is not His will for this relationship to continue, He would remove its hold swiftly and give her freedom and peace. We pray for a godly spouse for her in the Lord's timing, a faithful man of God who respects her and your family and is ready to love and provide as Christ loves the Church. We also pray for this young man and his mother, that any pride, manipulation, or ungodly influence would be exposed and lose its power, and that they too would come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone if they do not yet know Him.
We pray for you as a mother who rules your house with love and faithfulness. We ask God to restore an unbreakable, respectful and loving bond between you and your children, to mend what is broken in a peaceful and godly manner, to remove fear, jealousy, spite, and confusion from your home, and to let your words be kind, your thoughts pure, and your actions guided by His Spirit. As faith made the daughter whole who came to Christ in trust, so we ask that your faith and the faith you nurture in your children would be strengthened as you hear and keep His commandments, which is the sure proof of love for Him and for the Father.
We ask all this not because we are worthy, but because Christ died for us while we were still sinners and reconciled us to God, and He who did not spare His own Son will surely care for those He has called His children. May He adorn you with the ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, shining in good works, and keep you and your daughters and your son in His joy, health, and protection today and in the days to come.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
