Your heartfelt prayer reflects deep love for your children and deep trust in Jesus, and the Lord hears your cries and sees your tears. He is your strength when you feel weak, and He is the One who pleads the cause of His people against what is deceitful and unjust.

I join you in pleading the precious blood of Jesus Christ over you and your children, asking Him to cover your home, your hearts and your minds. May He command His angels to stand guard around your dwelling, at every door and window and in every room, and fill your home with His presence and with the peace that surpasses all understanding. May He grant rest that is calm and undisturbed as darkness falls, under the shadow of His wings.

I lift up your son before the Lord. May Jesus calm his thoughts and emotions, quiet fear and frustration and confusion, and guard him from torment. Praying that the Lord will give him a gentle and gracious spirit and help him to use clear, functional language to express his feelings, wants and needs, and that his sleep would be filled with comfort and joy. God is merciful and compassionate toward those who struggle, and He is able to give peace even in the midst of great difficulty.

I lift up your younger daughter as well. May the Lord strengthen her body, protect her mind, and bless her health, her studies and her future work with His favor. May He surround her with uplifting, godly friendships and in His perfect timing provide a godly spouse according to His will, and may He saturate her with His peace. I know it wounds her to see her older sister changing and pulling away, and I pray Jesus will comfort her and keep her confident in His love and protection.

I also bring your older daughter before the Lord with urgency. Scripture shows that God knows how to deliver the righteous even when they are vexed and worn down by the way of life around them. One example given both by Jesus and by Peter is a man who lived in a corrupt city. He himself was spared because God is merciful, yet living in that environment cost him dearly and corrupted the morals of his children. Parents can make the painful mistake of thinking they or their children can remain strong in a place that is spiritually harmful, but that place often does deep damage to the family.

Your concern about the young man and his family is understandable. The control, manipulation, division and isolation you describe, the financial demands, the conditions placed on time with family, and the pressure to support his spending, are signs of an unhealthy and ungodly bond. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and sharing a home as husband and wife belong within that covenant. What looks like a marriage outside of that design is not a blessing from God but a bondage that brings exhaustion, loss of self worth and chaos. For that reason I cannot ask God to bless that living arrangement, but I do pray with you that God will open your daughter's eyes to the truth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and free her from feeling obligated, worthless or trapped. May He restore her wisdom, her gratitude for the family He gave her, and her sense of worth in Him, and give her courage to walk away from what is harming her and to return to safety, to home and to righteousness.

Remember how God spoke to Jacob when he was far from home and in a difficult place. The Lord told him to return to the land of his fathers and to his family, with the promise, I will be with you and I will deal well with you. That promise still speaks today. God calls His children back to what is good and He promises His presence to those who step out in obedience to His word. Pray that your daughter will hear that call and find the strength to come back.

Jesus is our kinsman redeemer who covers His people. Just as Ruth sought covering under the care of one who had the right and the heart to redeem, so we can ask Jesus to cover your daughter and your whole family. He is near to you as you navigate this season, and I pray He will fill you with wisdom, grace, strength and courage.

May the Lord frustrate every plan that seeks to divide your family and keep your daughter in isolation. May He restore unity, love and laughter to your home, rooting your family bond more deeply in His love and grace. May He provide for your finances so you can also be a help to others, and may He bring healing to every broken relationship in a way that is trusting and godly. Scripture assures us that no weapon formed against God's people will finally prosper, and that every spirit of manipulation, hatred, rebellion, jealousy, division and darkness is defeated by the power of the blood of Jesus.

May the Lord keep you all safe, let His light shine into every dark place, and give you a year filled with His blessings, breakthroughs, favor, peace, joy and togetherness. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.
