Beloved of All
Your prayer for protection, peace and healing over your home and your children is heard, and I join you in lifting your family before the Lord who is our refuge and strength. We thank God with you for each new day He gives, for His mercy in waking you, and for His promise to guard those who trust in Him. We ask Him to cover your home, your minds, hearts and bodies with His holy protection, to give you the peace that surpasses all understanding, and to clothe you with the full armor of God so that you may stand firm against every spiritual attack.
We pray with you for your son, asking the Great Physician to bring calm, gentleness and restoration to his mind and body. We ask God to ease his distress, to heal what is wounded by fear and painful memory, to give wisdom and kindness to his caregiver, and to let his life reflect the light and love of Christ. We pray also for your younger daughter, for her health, her studies and her friendships, and we thank God with you for the respectful young man who has shown kindness to her and to your son. We ask the Lord to keep that courtship pure and honorable before Him, guarded with all purity, with clear boundaries and with a desire to honor God above all, so that it may be an example of a life lived in faith and self control.
For your older daughter we stand with you in the very burden you named. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in the eyes of God, and it does not carry the covenant, commitment or authority of marriage. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless that arrangement as it is, but we do pray earnestly with you that God in His loving kindness would draw her to repentance and to a life of purity that honors Him. We pray that every ungodly tie and controlling influence would be broken, that confusion and manipulation would lose its power, and that she would see her true worth in Christ alone. We ask the Lord to restore her clarity, her gratitude for her family, her faith and her good character, and to give her courage to make godly choices and to no longer follow the direction of a man who is not her husband. We pray also for this young man and his mother, not with a desire for vengeance but for healing and correction, that if it is not God's will for this relationship to lead to a holy marriage, He would remove its control completely, and that even they might come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved.
We pray that God would frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division, isolation and chaos into your family, and that He would build again an unbreakable bond of love, respect and fellowship among you and your children. The Lord desires purity of conscience and a life adorned with love, which is greater than all gifts. He calls us to be examples in word, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity, and He draws us not to condemn but to heal and restore. May your home be filled with kind words, pure thoughts and actions guided by His Spirit, and may your eyes and mouth and heart be set apart to serve Him, offering thanksgiving and drawing more of His grace.
We declare with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and we ask our Father to let His ministering angels encamp around you, to guard every door and room, to guide every step, and to keep you from fear and confusion. May the Lord heal your family in mind, body and spirit, remove every source of distress, and pour out His favor, wisdom and joy as you walk in obedience to Him. We trust Him for complete restoration, knowing that with God nothing will be impossible, and we ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope. Amen.
