Beloved of All
Your heartfelt prayer for your family is heard, and I join you in bringing each of these burdens before the Lord with thanksgiving that He wakes you each day and keeps you in His care.
I pray with you for the covering of the blood of Jesus over your minds, hearts, bodies and spirits, over your home, your yard and your vehicles, and for the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Scripture promises that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that God gives His angels charge over His people and clothes His children in the full armor of truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the Word of God. I ask the Lord to encamp around you and your children, to guide every step and to let your home be filled with His light, joy and holy presence.
For your son, I pray for the Lord's tender mercy and healing. The Scriptures show that God sees affliction and hears the cry of the hurting heart, as He saw and heard Leah in her sorrow, and that He is the One who takes away reproach. Jesus Christ is able to bring healing to body, mind and spirit, for by His stripes we are healed. I ask the Lord to calm anxiety, to soften rigidity, to heal the wounds of past trauma and sensory distress, to restore gentle peace and satisfaction, and to anoint those who care for him with wisdom and dedication to bring out the best in him. With God nothing will be impossible, and I pray that your son will know daily calm, joy and the light of Christ resting upon him wherever he goes.
For your family bond, I pray for the supernatural unity and love that God intends for a household. When Jacob was called to return to the land of his family, God promised, I will be with you, and His hand guided and protected him on that journey. In the same way, the Lord delights to restore what is broken, to frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division and chaos, and to draw hearts back together in respect and love. I ask Him to strengthen the unbreakable, respectful bond between you and your children and between your children themselves.
For your younger daughter, I thank God with you for the encouragement of a respectful and kind courtship, and I pray that the Lord will keep it pure and honoring to Him. From the beginning God has shown His care for how marriage is entered, as Abraham instructed that a wife be taken for his son not from among those who did not know the Lord but from his own family of faith, and as Boaz honored the Lord in seeking Ruth in a lawful and redeeming way. I pray that both your younger daughter and this young man will continue to walk in purity, that God will surround them with godly friendships, grant her health, strength for her studies and work, wisdom and courage to stand against any demeaning or jealous influence, and keep their relationship under His favor and protection.
For your older daughter, I pray with deep love and truth. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's sight and does not carry the covenant rights and responsibilities of marriage. Scripture calls us to honor marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and to keep intimacy within that covenant alone, and it calls all of us to repentance and purity through Jesus Christ, who alone is the Son of God and the only way of salvation. I do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but I do pray earnestly that the Lord in His loving kindness will draw your daughter to see this clearly, to find her worth in Christ alone, to have spiritual clarity and courage to make godly choices, and to turn from any controlling or manipulative influence. I pray that every ungodly tie and any hold of pride, deception or false commitment over her would be broken, that the influence of this young man and his family to divide your home, to poison gratitude and faith, and to undermine her family, work and self respect would be removed completely unless God brings them to genuine repentance and salvation. I pray that she will no longer feel compelled to obey or idolize one who is not her husband, that she will be protected in her job, finances and faith, and that she will desire again the fellowship of her supportive family who raised her in the ways of the Lord.
I pray also that any influence that has sought to take a parental place that does not belong to it would be exposed and frustrated, and that your daughter would be restored to gratitude, independence in Christ, and a clear walk with the Lord.
May the Lord fill you all with an overflow of His Holy Spirit, let your words be kind, your thoughts pure and your actions guided by Him, and grant you a year of restoration, breakthrough and unexpected mercies. I trust Him with you for complete protection and healing, for mended relationships in a godly manner, and for His will to be done in each life, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
