We hear your heart for your family and we join with you in bringing these concerns before our heavenly Father together.
We understand the worry you feel about the food you are being given and we want to encourage you to cast that anxiety on the Lord who cares for you. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Psalm 121:7-8 we read, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We also take comfort in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. God is your protector and provider, and we pray He will give you wisdom and discernment as you receive food from others, and that He will guard your family from any harm, whether seen or unseen. If you have ongoing concern about the source of the food, we encourage you also to use practical wisdom and caution as the Lord leads you.
We also lift up your father to the Lord with compassion. We know how difficult and distressing it can be to experience frequent need to use the bathroom and to have accidents, both for him and for those who love him. We pray for his healing, his dignity, and his comfort. We ask God to restore his health and strength, as He promises in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We gently encourage you to help your father seek medical care if he has not already, so a doctor can evaluate what is causing this sudden change and provide proper help, while we trust the Lord as the ultimate healer. We pray for patience and grace for your whole family as you support him.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God. We bring all our prayers in His precious name.

We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, for restoration of normal function, for comfort and dignity, and for wisdom for any doctors who may care for him. Grant this family Your peace, Your provision, and Your presence in their home. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and to know that You are their refuge. Your request has been brought before the Lord with tender care, and we have lifted you and your family to the throne of grace.
We have prayed that the food which is given to you shall do you no harm, but that the Lord who preserves His people from all evil shall keep you. It is our prayer that what you receive shall be purged of every evil, and that even as you have asked, it shall be made a wholesome provision for you. Remember the promise, The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, He shall preserve thy soul, and in answer to that daily prayer, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the Evil One, He is able to keep you from the pestilence that walks in darkness and from every hidden device of harm. Commit that food to Him with thanksgiving, asking that He would make it a healing draught rather than a hurtful thing, for all good gifts come down from our Father above.
We have prayed also for your father in his present bodily trial. How our Heavenly Father pities His children, as a father pities his children, and that pity is not mere feeling but effectual to help. He knows the frailty of the body, the weariness and the shame that such infirmity can bring, and He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is a balm in Christ, a physician who can give calm to the swelling heart and strength to the faint. We have asked the Lord to grant your father relief, to steady and heal his body, to spare him distress and accident, to restore dignity and comfort, and to give wisdom to those who care for him to know how best to help him. If this affliction continues, seek also the help of a trusted physician, for the Lord often works His healing by wise means, yet our chief hope is in His hand.
Take comfort in this, that the very least things that have to do with Christ have healing virtue in them. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and not a word that ever fell from His dear lips but bears healing for some ill of our humanity. Even a broken text from His mouth is better than the best of others, and He has appointed this medicine for the very purpose of healing. And know that when Christ receives and restores, it is His Father's will, for He came down from Heaven not to do His own will, but the will of Him that sent Him. This is the Father's will, that none who come to Christ should be cast out, but should be kept and healed and at last presented whole.
May the Lord grant you peace in your home, keep your table safe, and lay His healing hand upon your father. May He remove aching pain, bind up the broken heart, and make the weak to be strong. We commend you to His faithful keeping, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and that He will preserve you in purity and uprightness until He leads you to that land where the weary rest and need no more healing.
