We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your desire for protection over yourself, your household, and your future wife’s household. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand on the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your shield and buckler, and He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will take refuge (Psalm 91:4).
We rebuke every spirit of darkness, wickedness, and evil that seeks to harm you or your loved ones. The Word declares that the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17). We declare that every enemy plotting against you shall stumble and fall, for the Lord frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise (Job 5:12). Their resources and sources of power shall be scattered, and their strength shall fail, for the Lord breaks the bow and cuts the spear in sunder (Psalm 46:9).
However, we must also address the posture of your heart in this request. While it is right to ask God for protection and to stand against evil, we must be careful not to harbor bitterness or a spirit of vengeance. The Lord says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay” (Romans 12:19). Instead of asking God to cripple your enemies, we should pray for their repentance and salvation, for the Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Let us not forget that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also lift up your future wife, praying that the Lord would prepare her heart and yours for the sacred covenant of marriage. Marriage is a holy institution, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that you both would seek the Lord first in all things, that your union would be built on the foundation of Christ, and that your household would be a light in this dark world. May your marriage be a testimony of God’s love, grace, and faithfulness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise of protection and for being our refuge in times of trouble. Lord, we ask that You would surround ### and his household, as well as his future wife and her household, with Your hedge of protection. Shield them from all evil, wickedness, and darkness. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of darkness that seeks to harm them. We declare that their enemies shall stumble and fall, not by our might, but by Your power. Scatter the resources and sources of power of those who plot against them, and let their strength fail. But Lord, we also ask that You would soften the hearts of their enemies, that they may come to know You and turn from their wicked ways.
Prepare ### and his future wife for the sacred covenant of marriage. Let their union be built on the foundation of Christ, and may their household be a light in this dark world. Teach them to love one another as You have loved us, and may their marriage bring glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
