Scripture ties this fear of the Lord to health for the body and strength for the bones. That does not mean you will be spared every hardship, but it does mean that the person who walks in reverent obedience is not handed over to the ruin evil intends. So under this pressure, ask the Lord to search your heart. Keep your tongue from deceit. Seek peace and pursue it. Honor the Lord with what you have, even when finances feel threatened, because God does not get the leftovers of a panicked heart.
Fear and faith cannot rule the same heart. The enemy uses fear precisely because fear drives out faith. When fear rises and tells you to react, to repay, to despair, that is the moment to stop and remember the Lord. David said that though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he would fear no evil, because the Lord was with him.
