Servant of All
I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that You are the Lord, the ultimate healer, and my fortress in times of trouble. Lord, for the past two years, my family and I have been walking through a season of deep pain, continuous hurdles, and severe medical challenges. You know the hidden burdens we carry and the fear that ungodly powers or spiritual forces are working to bring harm or revenge against us, breaking us physically, mentally and financially. Your Word tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness. I ask You to step in on our behalf, shield and safeguard us.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We acknowledge that our battle is indeed not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

We rebuke every ungodly power and spiritual force that seeks to bring harm, revenge, or destruction to you and your family. In the name of Jesus, we command these forces to flee, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround this family with Your hedge of protection. Shield them from every attack of the enemy, seen and unseen. We pray for Your healing touch to restore their bodies, minds, and spirits. Bring comfort to their hearts and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family, that they may recognize the schemes of the enemy and stand firm in their faith. Strengthen their trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). May Your presence go before them, behind them, and with them, guiding their steps and guarding their hearts. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, dear brother or sister. Put on the whole armor of God daily, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). Remember that the Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life, of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We hear the weariness in your words, the weight of two years of relentless hardship on your family. When medical struggles pile up alongside a persistent sense that something dark is pressing in, it can drain every reserve of hope and strength. You are not weak for feeling afraid; fear is a natural response to prolonged trial. Yet the fear does not get the last word, because Jesus has already assured us that in Him we have peace, and that no threat can snatch you or your family from His hand.

One thing that sometimes helps in seasons like this is not to battle in isolation. You mention the hidden burdens you carry, we wonder if there is a trusted pastor, small group, or a couple of mature believers you could invite to pray with you regularly, even just to sit with you and lift this load before the Lord. When we are worn thin, the prayers of the body of Christ can hold us up when our own faith feels threadbare. If the medical issues feel unending, it’s also entirely wise to keep your healthcare providers in the loop about how the stress is affecting your whole family; they can sometimes connect you with support you didn’t know existed. And if the fear of spiritual forces ever feels overwhelming or disorienting, a conversation with a pastor who understands the realities of spiritual warfare can bring clarity and the simple, authoritative truth that Christ is supreme over every power.

We stand with you in asking our Lord to make His shelter real to you now.

Father, we lift this family to You. You see their hidden pain, their physical and emotional fatigue, and the fear that evil is arrayed against them. Surround them with Your angels, and let them feel the safety of Your presence. Bring wisdom to their doctors, tangible help for their financial strain, and a renewed sense of Your nearness in every sleepless night. Where fear has tightened its grip, release a deep assurance that You have already overcome the darkness and that nothing can separate them from Your love. We pray for moments of rest and glimpses of hope that sustain them. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The season of deep pain you describe, these two years of continuous hurdles and severe medical challenges, are not outside the sacred zone of Providential government. It is hopeful when we find that all our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground like hemlock from the furrows of the field, but the Lord, Himself, kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a father’s hand, and this is a gladsome fact which makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. You acknowledge the spiritual forces of darkness, and rightly so, for our battle is not against flesh and blood. Yet remember, deliverance from the power of sin and the assaults of the Evil One is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. But here is your strong consolation: God has given commandment to save you, and you shall be saved, saved from yourself, saved from the devil, saved from all the hidden burdens and fears that press upon your household.

The voice from the excellent Glory sounds forth even now: “Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom.” Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance through a ransom if God had not invented it. It is a gift of Divine Love, secured by Christ Jesus alone. He has delivered us from the power of darkness. The least thing about Christ is healing; the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. That healing power is conspicuously present, able to breathe peace into your soul, peace which passes all understanding, springing from perfect remission of your manifold iniquities. Do you believe that? May you experience now that the healing power of the Gospel is power to forgive sin and power to shield from every deadly pestilence. Where the root of bitterness is taken away, the evil which grows out of it is also removed. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

Therefore, let this be your conduct after affliction and in the midst of it: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” You have a deliverance from the archers of spiritual discord, from the insinuations of the Evil One who would make you doubt your own Father. Look that suggestion in the face, Christian, and see if it has not got the horns of the Evil One stamped on its brow? This Evil One is making you doubt thy Father’s shielding hand. Cast that thought away. He keeps back your soul from the Pit. He can breathe into your soul a peace which confounds every vengeful power. Recollect your peaceful privileges, screened not by your own strength but by Omnipotent overruling, and go forward to declare His works. The power that dwelt in Christ to heal has lost none of its virtue. It flows down to you now, from the great conduit Head, abundant streams of healing for body, mind, and spirit. God bless you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of spiritual forces arrayed against you, and you do well to discern that your battle is not with flesh and blood. This is true wisdom, for the devil makes war upon mankind with a hatred we can scarcely fathom, turning even against his own kindred in malice. Yet do not let this recognition become a new fear. The Apostle teaches us that the One who is in you is greater, and the incarnation of our Lord delivered us from the curse and promoted us to sonship. You have received the Spirit of adoption, cling to this! You are not orphans left to the darkness. The same God who permits the storm also commands it, and His purpose in allowing affliction is never merely to see you crushed.

I observe that you have walked this painful road for two years now, carrying hidden burdens and watching medical challenges wear down body, mind, and resources. The temptation in such a season is to cry out only for the removal of the pain, and that cry is natural. But hear the deeper counsel of the Scriptures. The martyrs of old were tortured and refused deliverance, not because they loved suffering, but because they fixed their eyes on a better resurrection. God does not always promise immediate deliverance from death or hardship; sometimes He grants something far greater: the strength to despise what the world fears most, and in that despising, to find a peace that cannot be shaken. If He permits you to suffer still, it is not abandonment. It is a call to cultivate fortitude, to learn that no single virtue, not even freedom from affliction, is sufficient on its own. You need careful hearing of the word, continual recollection, and contempt for all worldly security, so that your soul rests on the rock.

Do not measure God’s protection solely by the absence of trouble. The true safeguarding of your soul lies in this: that even in the fire, your faith does not fail, and your heart is kept from bitterness and despair. The hidden powers of darkness rage, but they cannot touch the inner citadel of a soul that clings to Christ. They may buffet the body and drain the purse; they cannot snatch the inheritance of sonship unless you surrender it. When you feel overwhelmed beyond your power, remember the Apostle’s own confession: he was weighed down exceedingly, beyond strength, yet that was the precise moment he learned to trust not in himself but in God who raises the dead. Your very desperation is a threshold for grace.

So I urge you: continue to pray, but let your prayer be also a listening. Do not become remiss or careless in hearing the word. It may seem that the word has fallen on your ears ten times without fruit; yet often the tree that stands firm against many blows is being prepared at the root for a sudden and abundant harvest. Persevere in the assembly of the faithful, in the reading of Scripture, in the cry for mercy. And when fear whispers that ungodly powers are prevailing, answer it with the image of Christ’s matchless beauty, which is love. If love is present, love for God, love for one another, then no suffering, no threat, no diagnosis can rob you of the Kingdom. The devil cannot make you less than human; it is sin alone that reduces a person to the senseless beasts, and from that you are kept by clinging to the Cross.

Therefore, stand firm. Ask daily for the shield of faith, but also receive with thanksgiving whatever cup the Lord permits, knowing that even the bitter draught is mixed by the hand of a Father who has already given you the Spirit of His Son. Your family’s safeguard is not ultimately a wall of ease but a fortress built of steadfast hope, a hope that despises death and sees through the poverty of this present age to the unfading crown. May you all, through this season, become worthy of the admonitions of Christ and obtain the everlasting blessings promised to those who endure.

You have done the right thing by bringing your burden into the open and laying it at the feet of Jesus. Acknowledging Him as Lord and Healer is the first great act of faith, and faith is the victory that overcomes the world and every dark power in it. What you are describing is not just a long chain of difficult circumstances; you are sensing the spiritual battle behind the physical, mental, and financial assaults. Scripture makes it plain that our war is not against flesh and blood, and you are not imagining things when you perceive a personal, malignant force trying to steal your peace and break your household. That fear you feel is exactly what the enemy wants to cultivate. But the truth is stronger, and I want to remind you of it now.

Those hidden burdens, the severe medical challenges, the relentless hurdles, they feel as though they will never end. The apostle Paul knew that sensation well. Yet he called his own crushing trials a “light affliction” that is “but for a moment.” That does not mean your pain is insignificant; it means that when you weigh it against the eternal weight of glory God is preparing for you, the scale tips entirely. The present suffering, even when it stretches over years, is fleeting. Eternity with Christ is indescribably rich in joy, beauty, and love. So do not let your planning be limited to just getting through the next week. Set your mind on forever. Let that eternal hope reorder how you see these afflictions today.

God does not punish His children. He corrects, He refines, He draws us back from paths that lead to ruin, but He does not stand over you with a clenched fist. The enemy takes advantage of pain to whisper that God has forsaken you or is angry. That is a lie. The Lord uses afflictions to get our attention and teach us to cling to His word. I have seen people walk through immense financial poverty and deep persecution, yet from the overflow of their relationship with God came an abundance of joy and extraordinary generosity. Joy is not tied to a clean bill of health or a fat bank account; it is the fruit of knowing that you belong to Him. So cry out with that ancient prayer: “Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me.” Let Scripture cut through the fog of fear.

You are right to ask for shielding. Jesus has ultimate authority over every demonic being. The Scriptures give glimpses of these dark forces, intelligent, malevolent, capable of inflicting torment, but always limited. They cannot act beyond the boundaries God sets. Most importantly, they are unable to touch those who have the seal of the living God upon them. If you are in Christ, that seal is on you. The enemy may rage, but he cannot snatch you away. Christ’s return will bring the final, all-inclusive deliverance, not just from temporal threats but from the wrath to come. In the meantime, He tells us to watch, to keep our garments, to stand fast.

When you feel your soul bowed down to the dust, remember the purpose at work. Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word. God is good, and He does good, even through the furnace. So pray earnestly. If there is any area where you need to make things right with Him, do so. Then lean heavily on the family of God. The body of Christ is meant to share burdens, just as the early churches took up offerings for suffering brothers and sisters they had never met. Your financial and medical struggles are not a private prison. Let other believers walk with you, support you, and be a tangible expression of His love.

You are not forgotten. The God of Jacob, the God who works His purposes through crooked, struggling, and once-deceitful people, has declared Himself your God. Afflictions that seem designed to destroy can become the very tools He uses to conform you to the image of His Son. We are comforted in our own distress by hearing of your steadfast faith. So do not stop crying out for protection. Our hope is not in a formula but in a Person. Jesus will step in. All plans of darkness will be silenced. And the eternal glory waiting on the other side of this momentary trouble will wipe away every memory of the sting. Stand fast in the Lord; that is where life truly is.
