We join you in lifting up your small business and rental business before the Lord, seeking His divine protection, favor, and success. The Bible assures us that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We recognize that true security and prosperity come from God alone, and we stand on His promises as we pray.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring Your sovereignty over every aspect of these businesses. We ask for Your hedge of protection to surround them, shielding them from harm, theft, accidents, or any form of destruction. Let Your fire, O God, be a wall of defense around them, consuming anything that seeks to bring harm or disruption. We plead the blood of Jesus over every property, transaction, and individual involved, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we invite the name of Jesus to rule and reign over these businesses. May His authority dismantle every plan of the enemy and establish divine order, wisdom, and favor. We pray for success that glorifies You, success that is rooted in integrity, hard work, and dependence on You. Bless the work of their hands, Lord, and let these businesses thrive as a testimony to Your goodness and provision (Deuteronomy 28:12).

You ask for the fire, yet have you considered that the Lord was not in the fire that Elijah saw, but in the still small voice? It is that gentle dew of His blessing, the small rain upon the tender herb, which makes a way prosper. Seek not the earthquake or the roaring flame, but listen for that quiet voice of wisdom in all your dealings. If the Name of Jesus rules over your enterprise, it rules over your conscience first, no sharp practice, no worldly custom borrowed from the trade, but clean hands that dare hold the nail-pierced hand of the Master.
This business of yours must become the Father’s business, or it is a poor affair indeed. Did Christ sweat blood for your ledgers merely to swell with profit while souls go untouched? If you make your daily labour a mission ground, then you may pray for success with a holy boldness. But what is this success you crave? Is it a full purse, or a full heart? Is it the world’s applause, or the secret joy of giving bountifully to the spread of the gospel? Let your object be more lasting, set your aim upon teaching transgressors God’s ways by your faithful conduct and your ready word.

The angels are charged to keep you in your appointed ways, the royal highway of uprightness, not in the byroads of clever scheming. You ask for protection and success over your businesses, invoking the fire of God, the Blood of Jesus, and His Name. I hear the words, but let us examine the heart. When you leave the assembly and step into the marketplace, do you carry the flame or let it be quenched? For we are awed while here, but often become altered men when business calls. The forum is a channel of wickednesses, a daily tempest where the boat strikes rocks and sinks. Prayer is a great weapon, indeed, and we need it early and by night. But prayer is not a charm to make worldly ventures thrive; it is the breath of a soul clinging to Christ.
The Blood of Jesus was shed to loose the bonds of death, to abolish sin and the curse, and to introduce innumerable blessings into our life. That is the chief point of salvation. If you seek His covering, then see that your business is not a tomb haunted by the dissolute, stinking of rottenness and greed. For what will you exult in at the end of your days? Sumptuous banqueting and profits, or good works done in faith? The fire of God is not a servant of your success; it is a consuming presence that burns away dross. If you want a wall not to be broken, instill the fear of God into your own soul and the souls of your household. When He is the guard seated within, you have no need of outward contrivances.
Do not offer a prayer and then plunge straightway into cares that choke the word. Take what you hear in the assembly home; let it rule your ledgers and your tenants. Seek first the kingdom, and these things will be added, but only as they serve the salvation of your body and soul. The Name of Jesus is not a lever for gain but a banner under which you fight against sin. Let your business be a place where the fire of love burns brightly, not a fleeting monument you will cover your face in shame for. Pray, then, but with hands unstained and a heart set on that eternal inheritance which no market can touch.
