We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, and we are grateful that you have called upon the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayers are a beautiful testament to your faith, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
Your plea for protection over your children is a reflection of a parent’s godly love, and we affirm your petitions with Scripture. *"He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). We pray that the Lord surrounds your older daughter as she travels, that His angels encamp around her car, and that He grants her alertness, wisdom, and divine favor at this conference. May she be a light for Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit’s boldness and grace, and may every connection she makes be ordained by God for His glory. *"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."* (Psalm 37:23-24, WEB).
For your son, we lift him up with compassion, knowing the battles he faces with PTSD, anxiety, and spiritual torment. These are not struggles he must bear alone, for Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We pray for a supernatural healing of his mind and spirit, that the Lord would replace every fearful thought with His perfect peace. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). May he experience the freedom that comes from fixing his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Your younger daughter’s studies and career are in the Lord’s hands, and we pray that He grants her excellence, divine wisdom, and opportunities that align with His will for her life. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). May she be surrounded by godly friendships that encourage her in her walk with Christ, and may she grow in discernment to recognize and reject any influence that does not honor Him.
We must address with love but firmness the concern you’ve raised about the ungodly influence of this young man and his family over your older daughter. Scripture is clear: *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If this young man is not a believer or if his family’s influence is leading her away from Christ, this is a dangerous path. We pray that the Lord breaks every ungodly soul tie and opens her eyes to any deception or manipulation. May she seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) and be willing to walk away from any relationship that does not align with His will—even if it is painful. *"Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it."* (Matthew 7:13-14, WEB). Pray that she finds strength in Christ to choose the narrow path, even if it means letting go of relationships that hinder her spiritual growth.
We also encourage you to speak truth in love to your daughter about the importance of pursuing relationships that honor God. If she is not yet married, remind her that courtship should be with the intent of marriage and only with a man who is equally yoked in faith, committed to Christ, and walking in obedience to His Word. Fornication and emotional entanglements outside of marriage are sin and open doors to spiritual attack (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Pray that she guards her heart and her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
For your home, we declare peace, unity, and the presence of God to fill every corner. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain."* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). May your family be a reflection of Christ’s love, and may your children rise up and call you blessed (Proverbs 31:28).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this family and for the blood of Jesus that covers them. We ask that You strengthen them in every area—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Grant them discernment to recognize Your voice and the courage to obey it. Break every chain of the enemy and let Your light expose and dispel every darkness. Fill their home with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let Your favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). We rebuke every plan of the enemy to bring confusion, fear, or division, and we declare that this family belongs to You. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord."* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
May each of them walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ, knowing that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
