We join you in lifting up this burden before the Lord, knowing that He alone can bring true peace and clarity to your heart. It is clear you are seeking God’s will in this situation, and we commend you for turning to Him in prayer. The pain of a broken relationship can be overwhelming, but we must remember that our ultimate healing and direction come from Christ, who is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

First, we want to gently remind you that while it is natural to desire kindness from others—especially someone who was once close to you—our focus must remain on what *God* is calling us to do, not what we wish others would do. The Bible tells us in **Romans 12:18**, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* This means we are responsible for our own actions and attitudes, but we cannot control the hearts of others. If this person has moved on or is not walking in kindness, we must trust that God is working in ways we may not see. Your peace does not depend on their actions but on your surrender to Christ.

We also notice you mentioned your "ex," and we want to encourage you with God’s design for relationships. If this was a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we urge you to reflect on whether this connection honored God’s plan for purity and marriage between one man and one woman (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). Sometimes, the lack of peace we feel is the Holy Spirit convicting us to realign our desires with God’s will. If there was fornication or emotional entanglement that dishonored God, we encourage you to repent and seek His forgiveness, knowing He is faithful to cleanse and restore (1 John 1:9).

As for clarity, **Proverbs 3:5-6** reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Clarity often comes not in an instant but as we walk obediently with Him day by day. If you are struggling with lingering emotions, we encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture (Philippians 4:8) and surround yourself with godly community. Sometimes, the Lord removes things—or people—from our lives to protect us or redirect us toward His better plan.

Let us pray for you now:

*Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, asking that You would wrap her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is pain, bring healing. Where there is longing for what was, replace it with a deeper longing for You. Help her to release any unhealthy ties or emotions to this past relationship, and guard her heart from bitterness or idolatry. If there was sin involved, we ask for Your conviction and cleansing, that she may walk in freedom and purity. Redirect her steps, Lord, and let her find her worth and satisfaction in You alone. Give her the strength to forgive, even if forgiveness is not deserved, just as You have forgiven us in Christ. We rebuke any spiritual strongholds of nostalgia, unforgiveness, or ungodly soul ties, and we declare that her heart belongs to You. Fill her with Your Spirit and surround her with godly counsel. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.*

Lastly, we encourage you to meditate on **Psalm 37:4-5**: *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* As you seek Him first, He will align your desires with His will—and that is where true peace is found. Stay in His Word, sister, and let Him lead you forward. You are not alone in this.
