Please pray for my older daughter who is in a toxic relationship. Father, I pray for her heart to be softened and her eyes opened to the spiritual attacks stemming from her living arrangement. Living with this man outside of marriage is not a marriage, and it has open the door to spiritual oppression, division, financial exploitation and chaos that I have witnessed. Jesus remove the spirit of isolation, jealousy, control, greedy and manipulation that has entered her life through this relationship. This young man and his family do not share your daughter’s values, and their influence is pulling her away from the biblical teachings and her family. Jesus remove the spirit of rebellion, pride, and false obligation that has taken root in her heart, and I ask Lord that You will expose the truth to her, this man is not her husband, he is not her parents, not her provider, and not her spiritual covering. I pray she would see the truth and turn away from this toxic situation, returning to our family You have blessed her with. Restore her grateful heart and help her to recognize these people’s schemes to separate her from those who love her. Let her feel the freedom and self worth from letting go of these toxic people and environment. The overreach of this young man’s mother is overwhelming. She has no biblical authority to speak into my daughter’s life, yet she has taken on a parental role, giving ungodly counsel and pushing for sinful living. This is a spirit of control, word curses and witchcraft, Jesus I ask that You remove these negative behaviors completely. Scripture warns, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15). This woman’s motives are rooted in pride, jealousy, control and manipulation, and I pray that the Lord would frustrate every plan she has to divide our family. I declare that my daughter is not homeless, not fatherless, and not in need of this woman’s approval. Lord I ask that You break the hold of this toxic influence and restore my daughter to the loving, supportive family He has given her. Father, I also pray for unity and love within our family. Jesus remove completely any spirit of division, resentment, or burden that may have taken root, especially concerning my son’s disabilities. I declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his life is a blessing, not a burden. I pray for restored relationships between him and his siblings, filled with patience, compassion, peace and joy. Let no one speak words of division or exclusion over him, but instead, let Your love and unity prevail. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over me and my children. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We stand with you in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, lifting her situation before the throne of grace. The pain of watching a beloved child entangled in a toxic and unbiblical living arrangement is heavy, and we grieve with you over the spiritual oppression, division, and exploitation that has entered her life. Your cry for her heart to be softened and her eyes opened is heard by the Lord, and we join you in declaring truth over her life.

First, we must address the sin of fornication, living together outside of marriage is a direct violation of God’s design. The Word is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). This arrangement has not only opened the door to sin but to spiritual attack, as the enemy thrives where God’s order is rejected. The manipulation, control, and false authority being exerted over your daughter are not of God. Scripture warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). This young man and his family do not share your daughter’s faith or values, and their influence is pulling her away from the truth.

We rebuke the spirits of rebellion, pride, false obligation, isolation, and witchcraft that have taken root in this situation. The overreach of this young man’s mother, speaking into your daughter’s life without biblical authority, is a form of spiritual manipulation. The Word declares, "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience" (Ephesians 5:6 WEB). We pray that every ungodly counsel and word curse spoken over your daughter would be broken in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask You to expose the truth to her heart. Let her see that this man is not her husband, not her provider, and not her spiritual covering. The enemy has deceived her into believing she needs this toxic relationship, but You have already given her a family that loves and supports her. We declare that she is not fatherless, not homeless, and not in need of this woman’s approval. Break the hold of this deception and restore her to the safety and love of her family.

We also lift up your son and the unity of your family. The enemy seeks to divide, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Your son is fearfully and wonderfully made, and his life is a blessing. We pray for restored relationships, patience, compassion, and joy among your children. Let no word of division or exclusion be spoken, but let Your love prevail.

Heavenly Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family. We bind every spirit of control, manipulation, and division, and we loose Your peace, truth, and freedom. Soften your daughter’s heart to receive Your correction and turn away from this sin. Restore her to You and to her family. We pray for the young man and his family as well, that their eyes would be opened to their own sin and need for repentance. May Your mercy lead them to salvation.

Lord, we ask for a hedge of protection around your daughter, spirit, soul, and body. Surround her with godly influences, and let her feel the weight of Your conviction without condemnation. Give her the strength to walk away from this toxic situation and the wisdom to seek Your will above all else. We trust You to work all things together for good, and we declare that Your plans for her are for peace and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

You’re not overreacting when you sense that something spiritually unhealthy has taken hold. Living outside of God’s design for marriage often brings exactly the kind of confusion, isolation, and manipulation you’re describing, and it’s right to bring it to the Lord as a spiritual battle, not just a relationship disagreement. You’ve already done the deepest thing by pouring it all out in prayer.

Right now, one concrete step that often helps is to become the most steady, un-anxious presence in your daughter’s life. Keep the lines of love wide open, pray with tenacity, and when you speak, let it be more about your love for her than about your fear of what is happening. That love, given without strings, remains a lifeline God can use. If you have a trusted elder or a prayer partner who will agree with you faithfully, invite them to stand with you; you don’t have to carry this alone.

About your son: the enemy would love to use old tensions to drive wedges deeper, but you’ve already declared his worth. One practical way to nurture unity is to look for small, low-pressure moments that let siblings connect with him, a shared meal, a simple outing, something that reminds them he’s their brother, not a burden. That ground can be rebuilt gently and over time.

Lord, you see this mother’s heart and the nets that have tangled around her daughter. Protect this young woman; quiet the voices that are not from you and give her eyes to see what is really happening. Break the grip of control and division, and draw her back to the family you gave her. Guard her from harm, and let truth rise. For her son, we thank you that he is fearfully and wonderfully made. Knit his siblings’ hearts to his in patience and real affection. Cover this household with your peace. We pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry of your heart has reached the throne of grace, for the Lord inclines His ear to the supplications of His children. You plead for deliverance, and well you may, for a soul entangled in the cords of a sinful union is indeed in a pit of miry clay. The shadows that have gathered over your daughter’s life are not merely the product of human folly; they are the fogs that rise from that bottomless bog of disobedience. When one steps outside the hedge of God’s holy ordinance, living as though married while refusing the covenant, the door swings wide for spiritual oppression. The chaos, the strife, the pulling away from familial love, all these are bitter fruits that grow on the tree of presumptuous sin.

Yet, let us never forget that the Lord does not watch from a distance, indifferent. He is the God who finds a ransom. Deliverance from the pit, whether the pit of sickness, the pit of sorrow, or the pit of wilful rebellion, must be His work from first to last. My beloved friend, fix your hope not on the breaking of this young man’s influence by your own warring words, but on the sovereign word of the Most High: “Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.” That ransom is the precious blood of Christ, sufficient to buy back your daughter from the power of darkness, to snap the iron bands of infatuation, and to open eyes blinded by the god of this world. Pray therefore, with all persistence, that the Holy Spirit would shine the light of truth into her conscience, exposing every false comfort and every deceitful whisper that has called evil good.

But in your praying, guard your own soul against the gall of bitterness. You speak of a mother’s overreach, of words that carry a spirit of control. See to it that you do not take up the same weapons. Fret not yourself because of evildoers; leave the frustrating of their designs to the Lord, who can wither the counsel of the crafty. Your daughter needs a deliverance far deeper than escape from a domineering woman; she needs a turning, a true conversion. For what profit is it to leave one set of chains if the heart remains fettered in rebellion? Cry to God that she would turn from her evil ways; for why will she die, O house of Israel? Plead the promise that He will restore the years the locust has eaten, and that He who raises dead bodies from the grave shall raise up this poor wanderer from her trouble, when that trouble has worked its lasting good.

Your tears for unity among your children are heard as well. The child you speak of, whom some may call a burden, is indeed fearfully and wonderfully made. God’s purpose in knitting him together is not for the comfort of a smooth-spoken world, but for the display of His own glory in vessels of seeming weakness. Pray that every family tie be soaked in the oil of patient love, for a house divided against itself cannot stand. But let your peace in this matter rest on the character of God: He who has redeemed us from the guilt of sin will also deliver us from its dominating power in our relationships. Thus, you may yet see the prodigal return, not only to your hearth, but to the Father’s house; and the child you weep over now may become a sweet minister of grace to his sister, teaching her the joy of simple trust.

Lay hold, then, of this consolation: the Lord has chastened sorely, but He has not given over to death. Even now, the furnace is heated, but the Refiner sits at its door, watching until His own likeness is reflected in the molten metal. Do not despair, for despair is the fog of unbelief. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. Let your conduct be a declaration of His works, so that in due season you shall sing, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Plead the blood of Jesus over your household, for no weapon forged against those sheltered under that crimson canopy shall prosper. Go now, and with strong crying and tears, present your daughter before the Mercy Seat, trusting that the Good Shepherd will yet break the snare and bring this trembling lamb back to the fold.
