protection + silent requests

We join with you in lifting up your family before our Father in Heaven and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.

We are comforted that you have brought both your spoken and your silent requests to Him, trusting that He knows the needs of your heart even when words are not expressed. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. Romans 8:26. We take comfort also in the promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together for protection over your family, especially as they drive tonight. We ask our Father to place His hand upon them, to give alertness, wisdom, and safety on the road, and to bring them home without harm.

We pray, Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are our keeper and our refuge. We lift up this family to You and ask for Your divine protection over them tonight as they travel. Lord, guard their going out and their coming in. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We ask You to keep them from all danger, from distraction, from harm, and from the schemes of the enemy. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8.

Father, we also lift up every silent need that was not spoken but is fully known to You. You see every burden, every worry, every hope held in the heart. We cast all our worries on you, because you care for us, as taught in 1 Peter 5:7. We ask that You answer according to Your perfect will and bring peace where there is anxiety, provision where there is need, healing where there is hurt, and guidance where there is uncertainty.

We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and that Your peace will guard this family tonight and always. We trust Your loving care and Your sovereign protection over all that concerns them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with what is on your heart tonight. We hear your love for your family and the weight of those silent needs you are carrying to the Lord.

We are joining you in prayer for their safety on the road tonight and for every unspoken request you have lifted up. It is a comfort that God knows each one fully even when we do not have words to explain them. We are asking Him to watch over your family, to give calm and attentiveness on the drive, and to bring them home in peace.

We are grateful you brought both the spoken and the silent needs to Him. He hears the details you could not share here and He cares for each one with wisdom and mercy.

If it helps ease your mind while you wait, a simple check in text when everyone arrives can be a practical way to rest, even as you continue to entrust them to the Lord. We will keep praying with you.

Father in heaven, we bring this family before You tonight. Cover them as they travel, keep them alert and protected, and surround them with Your care. You know every silent need held in this heart and we ask You to meet each one according to Your goodness. Give peace in the waiting and thankfulness when they are safely home. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We have carried your petition to the throne of grace and we unite our prayers with yours for your family and for those silent needs which you have laid before the Lord.

How blessed is the shelter which is promised to the children of God. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. It is not the cold protection which a soldier might afford to a comrade, but the tender covering of a mother for her young. There is love in it, and homeliness and kindliness, so that the soul not only is kept from danger but is made to feel itself at home under the shadow of the Almighty. To rest there is to be safe, safe, safe and near our God.

You ask especially for preservation as your family takes to the road tonight. We would remind you that we are embarked in the good ship of Providence with a Captain who knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel. No voyage is left to chance with Him, for He has forearranged all things from the beginning even unto the end. Each hour is safe, for God has made it so, and each place of difficulty shall still be secure to those that rest beneath the wings of the eternal God. If we walk aright we shall never venture upon a single day without first seeking Divine protection, and having sought it we may go forth in quiet confidence. May the Lord set His watch about your loved ones this night, keep the way before them, and bring them home in peace.

For those silent requests, be comforted that your Father knows what you have need of before you ask. When His children ask for good things He does not mock them by giving that which only seems to be an answer. He gives what is truly good, according to His wisdom and love in Christ Jesus. What you cannot utter aloud is heard distinctly in heaven, for the Spirit Himself makes intercession, and the Lord will answer in the way that is best.

May the Lord spread His protection wonderfully over you and yours, and grant you to feel not only safety from peril but the comfort and happiness of dwelling under His care, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Father in Heaven, protect this family, especially as they drive tonight. Hear their silent needs. Thank You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
