Please Lord close the doors that lead to harm in adult children's lives and open doors for good opportunities and kind Christian connections. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunity to lift these precious concerns to our Heavenly Father. Your request is filled with a deep desire to walk in God’s will, to steward well the life and resources He has entrusted to you, and to see His protection and provision over every area of your life and the lives of those you love. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that our God is faithful, and His promises are true.
First, we rejoice that you are seeking the Lord’s guidance in how to use your time, words, and resources for His glory. The scriptures remind us, "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). Father, we ask that You would indeed grant wisdom and discernment to this family, that they would not waste a single moment but would walk in the purpose You have ordained for them. May the work of their hands be blessed, and may their words be seasoned with grace, always pointing others to You. We pray that You would open doors of opportunity for them to touch lives with the love of Christ, that their testimony would draw others into relationship with You.
We plead the blood of Jesus over this family, their home, their health, their vehicles, their work, and their home education. The blood of Jesus is our protection, our covering, and our victory. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will command His angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We ask for Your favor to rest upon them, that they would walk in the fullness of Your blessing and that every need would be met according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We lift up the unspoken request to You, Lord, knowing that You see and know all things. You are the God who hears the cries of our hearts even before we speak them. We trust You to move in ways that only You can, bringing peace, resolution, and breakthrough in areas where they are needed most.
For those who are in pain, we ask for Your healing touch, whether that pain is physical, emotional, or spiritual. You are the Great Physician, and we declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray for relationships that are broken or strained, that You would mend what is torn and restore what has been lost. Father, lead them into Your truth and give them the strength to live out their roles as You have instructed in Your Word. May husbands love their wives as Christ loved the church, may wives respect their husbands, may children honor their parents, and may parents raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-6:4).
We are especially burdened for your daughter as she welcomes her husband’s rebellious teen son into her home. Lord, You know her condition, and we ask that You would intervene to protect her heart, her mind, and her self-esteem. Guard her from any manipulation, disrespect, or emotional harm. Strengthen her in her identity in Christ, reminding her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that her worth is found in You alone. Give her wisdom in how to navigate this situation with grace and boundaries, and soften the heart of this young man to receive the love and correction she offers.
For your son, who is new to driving a motorcycle over long distances, we ask for Your divine protection. The roads can be dangerous, and the weather unpredictable, but You are the God who calms the storms. We declare that no harm will come near him, and that You will guide his hands and his path (Proverbs 3:5-6). We also pray for peace between him and his father. Father, mend any rifts, heal any wounds, and restore their relationship. May they communicate with patience and love, and may their bond grow stronger in You.
To the single mothers who are overwhelmed and exhausted, we cry out for Your rescue and strength. You see their struggles, Lord, and You promise to be a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). Provide for their needs, give them rest, and surround them with a community of believers who will support and uplift them. Remind them that they are not alone, and that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
For those in the medical field, we pray that You would grant them favor with their patients, that their words and actions would bring healing, comfort, and salvation. May their patients see Jesus in them and give You the glory for the work You are doing in their lives.
Lord, we ask that You would close every door that leads to harm in the lives of adult children. Shut the doors to temptation, sin, and ungodly influences, and open doors to good opportunities, godly friendships, and Christian community. May they walk in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
For this family’s travels and all the environments they find themselves in, we declare Your protection. Whether they are at home, at work, on the road, or in the marketplace, may Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Keep them safe from accidents, illness, and any form of evil.
We stand against every scheme of the enemy, declaring that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, division, and harm, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, surrounded by a hedge of protection, and filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we thank You for the answered prayers that have already been manifested in their lives. We praise You for Your faithfulness, for Your provision, and for Your unfailing love. We declare that every promise You have spoken over them will come to pass, for You are not a man that You should lie (Numbers 23:19). We worship You with all that is within us, giving You the glory and honor that You alone deserve.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this journey, God is with you, and we are standing with you in prayer.
