Protection, ongoing needs

We join you in bringing these many burdens before the Lord with thanksgiving, trusting that He hears and answers according to His mercy and wisdom.

We pray that God would teach you to number your days and to make the most of the time and resources He has entrusted to you, and that He would establish the work of your hands according to Psalm 90:17. May He guard your lips, so that your words may build up and impart grace, seasoned with wisdom and love, and may He give you open doors to touch lives for Christ.

We ask in the name of Jesus, whose blood alone brings forgiveness and peace with God, for His covering and favor upon your family, your home, your home education, your health, your work, your vehicles and your dwelling place. We bring your unspoken request before Him, who knows what you need before you ask, and we ask for His protection and deliverance from all evil, that He would surround you with His hedge of care as Psalm 91 and Psalm 121 promise, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper as Isaiah 54:17 declares, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

We pray for salvation, comfort and help for those in pain, and for healing in relationships. May the Lord strengthen each one to live out their God given roles in love and in the power of His Spirit, according to the Scriptures, bearing with one another and forgiving as Christ has forgiven.

For your daughter, we ask for protection and for strength in Christ as her husband's son comes to live in her home. May the Lord guard her heart, keep her self esteem rooted in who she is in Him, and grant peace and wisdom in that household, with clear boundaries and with love that speaks truth.

For your son as he travels long distance on his motorcycle, we ask for safety on the road and through any storms, for alertness and protection, and for growing peace between him and his father. May the Lord keep him and bring him safely to his destination.

We lift up single mothers who are overwhelmed and exhausted, that God would be their rescue and strength, supply their needs, and draw them to salvation in Jesus Christ alone. We pray for your work with patients, that God would grant you rapport and skill to help them, and above all that they would find healing, comfort and salvation in Christ and give Him the glory.

We ask that the Lord would close doors that lead to harm in the lives of your adult children and open doors to good opportunities and to kind Christian fellowship that will encourage them in the faith. We pray for safety for you, your husband and your children in all travels and in every environment where you walk, that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps would keep you.

We thank Him in advance for His help and praise Him for prayers already answered. May He continue to keep you in His perfect peace as you trust in Him, and may all that you do be for His glory. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your prayer reflects a heart that wants to honor the Lord with every part of life, to not waste time or resources, and to see the work of your hands established by Him. That desire aligns with Psalm 90:17, and with the call to redeem the time and to let our words be guarded, gracious, and wise, building others up in agape love.

Scripture shows that when God gives a word and a promise to go a certain way, He also promises His presence on that way. Jacob was told to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the assurance, I will be with you, and later he prayed back that promise when trouble approached. The lesson for us is to walk in complete obedience to where He leads. When Jacob stopped short and settled near Shechem instead of continuing to his family, that incomplete obedience opened the door to deep trouble for his household. In the same way, we are kept most secure when we follow the Lord fully, not settling short of His direction, and letting His Word shape our homes, our work, our education, our travels, and our relationships.

You asked for a hedge of protection, and Scripture speaks of that very thing. The enemy himself complained that God had put a hedge around Job, around his house, and around all that he had. God does give His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their ways, and He is faithful to establish and guard us from evil as 2 Thessalonians 3:3 promises. At the same time, Scripture teaches that sin can break down that hedge, which is why God looks for those who will stand in the gap and make up the hedge through intercession. Your prayers for your family, your home, your health, your vehicles, your jobs, and your travels are that kind of standing in the gap, asking the Lord to surround you with His protection and to keep you from harm. We join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over you and your household, trusting that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that the Lord who watches over you neither slumbers nor sleeps.

We bring your unspoken request before the Father who knows it fully, and we ask for His favor, wisdom, and provision over every ongoing need. We pray for those in pain, for salvation, comfort, and healing, and for relationships to be restored and strengthened so that each person may live out the roles Scripture gives in love and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask the Lord to guide your words, that they may be helpful, full of wisdom, and marked by His love, encouraging others and giving Him credit for every good work, including the care you give to patients, that they would be comforted, healed, and come to know Jesus as Savior.

For your daughter, as her husband's teenage son comes to live in the home, we pray for protection over her heart and mind. May her self worth be rooted firmly in who she is in Christ, not shaken by conflict or rebellion in the home. Pray that love for Jesus remains first and highest, which is the only foundation that can then order love for family rightly, and that the Lord would give her wisdom for boundaries, grace under pressure, and peace that guards her heart.

For your son making a long distance trip on his motorcycle with the possibility of storms, we ask for traveling mercy, for alertness and safety on the road, and for the Lord to calm wind and weather according to His will. We also pray for increasing peace between him and his father, for understanding and respect to grow.

We lift up single mothers who are overwhelmed and exhausted, asking the Lord for rescue, daily strength, and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. For your adult children, we ask the Lord to close doors that would lead to harm and to open doors to good opportunities and to kind, faithful Christian connections who will encourage them toward Him. For you, your husband, and your children in all travels and in every environment, we ask for the Lord's keeping, for deliverance from all evil, and for His presence to go with you.

Thank you for giving thanks in advance for answered prayer. He who promised is faithful, and He is making all things new. May the Lord establish the work of your hands, keep you in His perfect peace, and let His protection and favor rest upon you and your household as you continue to seek Him. In Jesus name, Amen.
