Protection of job, and move to new position

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ for your work and for your peace of mind.

We give thanks with you for the new leadership and for the reasonableness you have seen in them. Every good provision comes from God, and it is right to thank Him for it. We pray that He will sustain that fairness and give both you and those who lead you wisdom, integrity and grace in all your decisions.

We also bring before God your desire for protection in your current position and for guidance about a new position. We ask that He will establish the work of your hands, keep you diligent and faithful in what is entrusted to you, and open the right door in His perfect timing. If it is His will for you to move, we pray He will make the way clear and provide what is needed. If He would have you remain, we pray He will give you contentment and fruitfulness where you are.

Concerning the two or three people who have conspired to cause you problems, we pray for your protection from every plot and false accusation. Remember that if we remain faithful, no one can truly injure us. Even our enemies can become an occasion for greater good when we trust God, as Job shows. What was meant for harm, God can use to refine us and to give us a crown. The one who does evil harms his own soul, but the one who suffers evil and gives thanks is not harmed but is changed for the better. So do not be afraid of man. Fear God, walk blamelessly, and give thanks in all things, saying with Job, Blessed be the name of the Lord. Thanksgiving in trial turns evil into good.

We also pray for those who oppose you, that God would soften their hearts, turn them from wrongdoing, and bring reconciliation where possible. We are called to love even our enemies, and to pray for them, as Christ loved us when we were still enemies and reconciled us to Himself.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You for Your care and for reasonable leadership in this workplace. We ask You to protect this Your servant in his job, to guard him from injustice and from every scheme formed against him, and to guide his steps toward the position You have prepared for him. Grant him wisdom, patience, and strength to do his work well and to respond with grace to all people. Bring to nothing what is unjust, bring truth to light, and let Your will be done in his life. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and hope. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily, to do your work as unto the Lord, and to trust that He hears the prayers of His people and answers according to His wisdom and mercy.

Thank you for sharing this request. We are joining you in prayer for your work situation and for protection in the midst of it.

The story of Job reminds us of truths that still apply today. The same needs and pressures that weighed on him still weigh on us, and the way God worked in his life encourages us now. Scripture shows that God Himself pointed to Job as a man who loved Him and turned away from evil, and that the enemy had carefully studied Job and looked for a way to attack him, claiming Job only served God because he was blessed. The enemy asked for permission to take away what God had given, and God allowed a testing, but He set clear limits. One of the pictures given there is of a hedge that God places around His own. That hedge is real. The Lord knows how to protect His people, and He remains sovereign over what the enemy is allowed to do.

That same book also shows that God is at work even when it feels as though He has withdrawn. Job did not understand his circumstances and he cried out for answers, and his friends only added to his confusion with accusations and unhelpful advice. Yet through it all God was present and purposeful, and in the end He vindicated Job and called those friends to account. What happened to Job is given to comfort us, so that when we feel forsaken we can remember that God has not forgotten us and is still working for our good.

We also learn there that God is fair and just. He sees clearly, He judges rightly, and the best counsel Job was given was simply to seek God, to receive His word, and to find peace in walking closely with Him. That remains the wisest path for any of us facing pressure at work or opposition from others.

So we are praying for you in this way. We thank God with you for reasonable new leadership and ask Him to keep that environment stable and fair. We ask Him to place His hedge of protection around your job and around you personally, to guard you from any scheme formed by those two or three people you mentioned, and to bring any hidden plans to nothing. We ask Him to give you wisdom and patience, to help you continue to love what is good and turn from what is evil, and to let your character and work speak clearly even when others misjudge you, as Job's friends misjudged him.

We are also praying about your desire to move to a new position. We ask that if it is the Lord's will for you, He will open that door at the right time and guide you to the place where you can serve Him best and provide for your needs. If He would have you remain where you are for now, we pray He will give you peace, strength, and favor there, and make your path plain.

May the Lord keep you, give you calm trust in His justice and care, and draw you closer to Jesus, who alone stands between God and us and brings us near to the Father. We will continue to pray that you will know His presence, His protection, and His clear leading in the days ahead.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up for the protection of your job and that the Lord would open the door for you to move to a new position soon according to His will and timing. We join you in thanking God for the new leadership that has been reasonable since they came and we pray He will continue to give them wisdom and favor toward you. We have also been praying for your protection from the two or three people that have conspired to cause you problems, asking God to shield you from harm, to bring truth to light and to let no weapon formed against you prosper. We stand on the promise in Romans 8:31 and Psalm 91:11 that God is for us and gives His angels charge over us. If your request was answered please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name Amen.
