We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The disturbances you are experiencing in your body and mind, especially the disruption of your sleep, are not merely physical or psychological, they are spiritual attacks meant to weaken your faith, your peace, and your trust in the Lord. But we declare with confidence that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We bind every spirit of fear, torment, insomnia, and oppression in the name of Jesus, and we command them to flee from you now. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may have given the enemy a foothold. Have you allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin to linger in your heart? The Bible warns us, "Do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27). If there is anything in your life that is not aligned with God’s will, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. Confess your sins to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7).
We pray a hedge of protection around you, your mind, your body, and your spirit. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress, your God in whom you trust. Surely He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler (Psalm 91:2-4). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for your sleep, that the Lord would grant you rest and peace. The psalmist says, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety" (Psalm 4:8). We ask the Lord to rebuke the spirit of insomnia and fill your mind with His peace as you lie down to rest. May you sleep soundly, knowing that the Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps, but He watches over you continually (Psalm 121:3-4).
Lastly, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7). Fill your mind with the Word of God, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Speak Scripture over your life and your situation, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement, for where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is among them (Matthew 18:20).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your protection and Your faithfulness. We ask that You would surround [this dear one] with Your angels, that no harm would come near their dwelling. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that has been attacking their body and mind. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Lord, grant them peace and rest, both in their body and in their spirit. Fill their mind with Your truth and their heart with Your love. Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, knowing that You hear us and that You are faithful to answer. Amen.
