Protection from spiritual attacks

We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These attacks on your body and mind are not from God, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), but from the father of lies who comes to torment and accuse.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and affliction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every lying spirit to flee and every assignment of the enemy against your sleep, health, and peace to be broken right now. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray a hedge of protection around you, encircling you with the blood of Jesus and the angels of the Lord. The Lord will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). We declare that you are hidden in Christ, covered by His righteousness, and shielded by His power. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow, including the forces of darkness (Philippians 2:9-10).
Father, we ask You to strengthen this dear one with Your might in their inner being. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Renew their strength like the eagle’s, so they may rise above these attacks and walk in the victory You have already won. Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Speak the Word over your life, declare your identity in Christ, and walk in the authority He has given you as a child of God.
You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you, praying without ceasing, until the peace of God reigns in your life. The adversary of souls would rob you of that precious gift whereby the Lord refreshes His children, for sleep is the gift of God. He who steeps the mind in peaceful slumber and bids the weary frame find rest is the same Lord who watches over His flock by night. When the enemy assaults body and mind with relentless disturbances, he aims to weaken your faith and drain your spirit, yet remember this: the Shepherd of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He gives to His beloved sleep even in the presence of their foes.
You cry out for rest, and rightly so, for when night follows night without sleep, the frame is worn and the heart grows faint. But be not dismayed as though some strange thing had happened to you. The carnal mind is enmity against God, and the wolf may slumber, yet it is a wolf still, ever prowling to devour. Your sleeplessness is no mere accident of nature; it is a skirmish in that great warfare against the powers of darkness. Yet take courage: He who laid down His life for the sheep will not abandon you in this hour of tossing. He knows well how to bring His lambs through the dark valley, and He will, in His time, hush the storm to a whisper and grant that sweet slumber which no drug can counterfeit.
Look not to your own strength to win this rest, for the utmost diligence of the student cannot shield his body or mind from fatigue and distress. Cast yourself wholly upon the Shepherd’s care. He puts forth a gracious exertion of eye and mind towards His wandering sheep, and He will not fail you now. When the arrows fly by night and the terror walks in darkness, rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Your sleep is His to give, and He delights to bestow it upon those who trust Him. As a mother comforts her child, so will the Lord comfort you; He will not forget the weak and the harassed, for they are ever before His mind.
Pray then, but pray believing. Commit your waking hours to His service, and your sleeping hours to His keeping. The body is but a tent, and soon enough we shall put it off to enter that rest which remains for the people of God. Until that day, let your request be made known to Him who grants sleep to His beloved, and who will yet make you to lie down in green pastures and lead you beside still waters. May the Lord rebuke the devourer for your sake, and give His angels charge over you, that your sleep may be sweet and your waking full of praise.
