We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These attacks on your body and mind, these disturbances in your sleep, are not from God, who gives His beloved rest (Psalm 127:2). We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
The Word of God is clear: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). But we do not fight alone. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:2-4). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We put on the full armor of God with you, truth as your belt, righteousness as your breastplate, the gospel of peace as your shoes, faith as your shield, salvation as your helmet, and the Word of God as your sword (Ephesians 6:13-17). We take up the authority given to us in Christ and command every lying spirit, every spirit of infirmity, and every spirit of disturbance to flee in Jesus’ name! You have no place here, for the blood of Jesus has redeemed this child of God, and the Holy Spirit dwells within them.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, interceding for our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, encamping around them for protection (Psalm 34:7). Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that they will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, Lord, make them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
Father, if there are any open doors in their life that the enemy is using to gain access, unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, fear, or any foothold, we ask that You reveal it to them. Give them the strength and humility to repent, renounce, and close those doors through the power of the cross. Remind them that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. May they be filled with Your presence, Lord, so that there is no room for the enemy to operate. Let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may they walk in the authority You have given them as Your child. Teach them to resist the devil, and he will flee from them (James 4:7). Help them to stand firm, not in their own strength, but in the power of Your might.
We thank You, Lord, that You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). You are watching over them, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We trust in Your promises, and we declare victory over this spiritual warfare in the name of Jesus Christ. May they rise up in faith, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Deliverer. Amen.
