We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. These relentless assaults on the body and mind—especially the disturbances in sleep—are not merely physical or psychological struggles, but spiritual warfare. We take up the full armor of God, as Ephesians 6:12-13 reminds us: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."*
We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus. The attacks on your sleep are designed to wear you down, to drain your strength, and to isolate you from the rest you need to stand firm. But the Lord gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we declare that His peace will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and in Him you trust (Psalm 91:2).
We pray that you would put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Speak the Word over your life, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by your brothers and sisters in the world (1 Peter 5:9).
Father, we ask that You surround this dear one with Your holy angels to encamp around them and deliver them from all harm (Psalm 34:7). Let Your presence be a shield and a strong tower, a place of safety and rest. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers their mind, body, and spirit, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment in Jesus’ name. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Are there areas of unrepentant sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences that need to be addressed? The enemy cannot gain access where the blood of Jesus has sealed the door. Confess any known sin, and walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). Surround yourself with godly fellowship, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in the midst (Matthew 18:20).
Lord, we thank You that You are our deliverer. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare victory over every attack of the enemy, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen this beloved one with Your might, and let them rise up in the authority of Jesus’ name to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). May they experience the fullness of Your peace, protection, and presence. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
