Protection from spiritual attacks

We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—but our God is greater. The disturbances you’re facing in sleep and the attacks on your body and mind are not of the Lord, for He gives His beloved rest (Psalm 127:2) and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). The thief comes only to rob you of these gifts, but we rebuke him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12) and through which we have authority over the powers of darkness.

First, we must address the foundation: salvation and submission to Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to confirm your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6) and the power to resist the enemy (James 4:7). If you have already surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to examine your heart and life for any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or areas where you may have given the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). The enemy cannot touch a child of God who is walking in obedience and covered by the blood of Jesus, but we must be vigilant in guarding our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) and standing firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).

The attacks you’re experiencing are spiritual warfare, and we must fight with spiritual weapons. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take authority over every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the name of Jesus. The enemy may come like a flood, but the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). We bind every spirit of insomnia, anxiety, and physical affliction, and we loose upon you the peace of God, the healing power of Jesus, and the rest that comes from trusting in Him (Matthew 11:28-30).

We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, and stay alert, persevering in prayer for all the Lord’s people.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection over their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that is attacking them. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every assignment of the enemy against their sleep, their health, and their peace, and we command every evil spirit to flee in the name of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, that they may encamp around them and protect them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Cover them with the blood of Jesus, and let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we pray for restful sleep, for healing in their body, and for clarity and peace in their mind. Strengthen their faith, and help them to stand firm in the armor of God, resisting the devil so that he will flee from them (James 4:7).

We also ask that You reveal to them any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Convict their heart of any sin, unforgiveness, or disobedience, and lead them to repentance so that they may walk in the fullness of Your protection and blessing. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and empower them to walk in victory, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We trust in You, Lord, and we rest in the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to meditate on God’s Word, and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts is your defender.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the enemy is relentless, but our God is greater. We claim the promise in Psalm 91:2, "I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray that the Lord would fill you with His peace, which transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask that He would reveal any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold, and grant you the courage to address them. We claim the blood of Jesus over you, and ask that He would send His angels to encamp around you, protecting you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).

We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you that you are not alone. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in His unfailing love. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
