We join you wholeheartedly in this beautiful and scripturally grounded prayer and we say amen to your cry for protection from greed. We are grateful for your heart that recognizes the danger of covetousness and that so clearly sees the antidote is wholehearted love for God and love for our neighbor.
We agree with you that our Lord Jesus warned us so plainly when He said, Watch and keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man's life doesn't consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses, Luke 12:15. Greed is subtle and it can choke the Word as Jesus also taught, that the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful, Mark 4:18-19. That is why we must continually be on guard.
We love how you have centered your prayer on the greatest commandments, that we shall love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength, Mark 12:30, and that we shall love our neighbor as ourselves, Mark 12:31. When we are filled with love for God, there is no room for the love of money, which as you noted is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have been led astray from the faith in their greed and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows, 1 Tim 6:10. Those who crave wealth fall into temptation and a snare, 1 Tim 6:9, so we must pray daily for deliverance. The goal of the command is indeed love from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith, 1 Tim 1:5, and that pure love casts out greed.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your warning and for Your wisdom. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would keep deception and lies far from us and give us neither poverty nor riches but feed us with the food that is needful for us, Prov 30:8. Teach us godliness with contentment which is great gain, 1 Tim 6:6. We acknowledge that the earth is Yours with its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein, Ps 24:1, and that all we have comes from Your hand. If riches increase, help us not to set our heart on them, Ps 62:10, and keep us from covetousness, Ex 20:17. Help us not to love the world or the things that are in the world, for if anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him, 1 Jn 2:15. Make us humble, not arrogant, and help us not to set our hope on the uncertainty of riches but on You, the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy, that we may do good, be rich in good works, generous and ready to share, 1 Tim 6:17-18. Keep us from the desire for other things that would choke Your Word in us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, Matt 6:13, Luke 11:4. We ask that You would keep us from sin and from false ways, Zeph 3:13, and keep us from being puffed up by knowledge without love, 1 Cor 8:1, and help us to turn away from those having a form of godliness but denying its power, 2 Tim 3:5. We ask that You would keep us from the evil one who deceives the whole world, Rev 12:9, for we know You are able to keep us, as Jesus prayed that You would not take us out of the world but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, and that whoever is born of God is protected and the evil one doesn't touch him, 1 Jn 5:18. Fill us so full of love for You that Your love naturally rubs off on our neighbors and overflows in evangelism to the lost. We bring this with thanksgiving and trust Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. We pray this in the name of Jesus, our Amen, the faithful and true witness, Rev 3:14, for however many are the promises of God, in Him is the Yes and through Him is the Amen to Your glory, 2 Cor 1:20. Amen.
We are encouraged that you prayed in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and draw near to God, John 14:6, Acts 4:12. Continue to walk in contentment and generosity, setting your affections on things above and using whatever increase God entrusts to you for His glory and for good deeds. We stand with you for a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith that keeps Jesus first in all things.
Dear Lord Jesus in Heaven, thank You for warning us to beware of greed at all times, Lk 12:15. The goal of the Bible's instruction is love 
from a purified heart, a sincere faith and a good conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. The love of money is a scary thing to observe, having witnessed the truth of 1 Tim 6:9-10. Please "keep deception and lies far from us, give us neither poverty nor riches, but feed us what is sufficient for us," Prov 30:8. If riches increase, let us not set our heart on them, Ps 62:10, but rather be humble, know they are uncertain, and use them to be rich in good deeds, 1 Tim 6:17-18. Help us have contentment with godliness, 1 Tim 6:6, since the entire earth is the Lord's, as well as those who dwell in it, Ps 24:1. Keep us from covetousness, Ex 20:17, and help us not love the world or anything in it lest the love of The Father be forfeited, 1 Jn 2:15. Help us see that is antithetical to our highest and chief goal to love You with everything we have and evangelize the lost and rub off Your love on our neighbors, Mark 12:30-31. Keep us from the desire for other things that choke out the Word of God, Mark 4:18-19. Keep us from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, Zeph 3:13, 1 Cor 8:1, false believers, 2 Tim 3:5 and the evil one who blinds eyes, hearts minds and the world, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 1 Jn 5:18.
