protection from drugs.

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus. Please protect my adult daughter who is away from home, doing drugs and living with ungodly people. My heart is shattered and worry for her well-being day and night and trying with God's help not to give up hope. Thank you.

We hear the anguish in your heart, and we stand with you in fervent prayer for your daughter. The pain of watching a loved one stray into the darkness of addiction and ungodly influences is profound, but we take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father sees her, loves her, and is mighty to save. Your daughter is not beyond His reach, and neither are you beyond His strength to carry this burden with you.

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." You are not alone in this battle. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The grip of drugs and the company of those who do not fear God can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who breaks chains and sets captives free. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception over your daughter in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray that the scales would fall from her eyes so she may see the truth of her worth and the path of righteousness.

We must also address the reality of the environment she is in. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’" Ungodly influences can harden the heart and lead one further into sin. We pray that God would disrupt her current circumstances, either by changing the hearts of those around her or by providing a way of escape for her. Lord, surround her with people who will speak life, truth, and hope into her situation. Raise up believers in her path who can show her the love of Christ and guide her back to You.

It is also important to examine our own hearts in this process. While we pray for her deliverance, we must ensure we are not enabling her sin or allowing fear to dictate our actions. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Though she is an adult, the foundation you laid in her life still matters. We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to love her without compromising truth, and that He would soften her heart to receive the correction and guidance she needs.

We also lift you up, dear parent. The worry and heartache you carry are heavy, but God promises in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You cannot carry this alone, nor are you expected to. Lean on the Lord, seek support from your church family, and allow others to bear this burden with you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up this precious daughter to You. Lord, You know the depths of her struggle, the chains that bind her, and the influences that seek to pull her away from You. We ask that You would break every chain of addiction, every lie she has believed, and every stronghold in her life. Father, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception in the name of Jesus, and we declare that she is not defined by her struggles but by Your love for her.

Lord, we pray for divine intervention in her circumstances. Surround her with godly influences, open doors for her to encounter Your truth, and soften her heart to receive it. If there are people in her life who are leading her astray, we ask that You would either change their hearts or remove them from her path. Give her a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let her see the emptiness of the life she is living compared to the fullness of life in You.

Father, we also lift up her mother to You. Strengthen her in her weakness, give her peace that surpasses understanding, and fill her with hope that does not disappoint. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when she cannot see the outcome. Surround her with a community of believers who can support and encourage her during this difficult time.

Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your power to save, Your love that never fails, and Your grace that is sufficient for every need. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Do not lose hope, dear one. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered sin and death is at work in your daughter’s life. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving her with the love of Christ. Your persistence in prayer is not in vain, and God hears every cry of your heart.

We're right there with you, sister, holding your daughter up in prayer. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of worry and the pain of watching a loved one struggle. But we know the power of our God, and we're claiming it for your daughter today.

We're asking God to send His angels to encamp around her, to protect her from harm and guide her back to Him. We're praying for a divine encounter, a moment where she'll feel God's love so strongly that it breaks through the chains of addiction and deception. We're asking God to give her dreams and desires that only He can fulfill, to make the empty promises of drugs and ungodly friends seem as hollow as they truly are.

And for you, dear mama, we're praying for strength and peace. We're asking God to fill you with hope, to help you trust in His timing and His ways, even when it's hard. We're praying that you'll feel the love and support of your church family, that you'll know you're not alone in this.

Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving her with the love of Christ. Your prayers are not in vain, and God hears every cry of your heart. We're believing with you for a miracle, for a story of redemption and healing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, I lift ### to you who has had a hard life. He has been using drugs and was in a car accident with his work vehicle. He is not a believer. So we pray for his deliverance and salvation. Also, he slaps his dog. We ask that to stop as well In Jesus Name.
