Protection from abuse
We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking the Lord Jesus to intervene with His mighty hand of protection. Our hearts are grieved to hear that he and others are facing harm and abuse, and we thank you for bringing this urgent need to the Lord, for He sees, He hears, and He does not overlook the suffering of the vulnerable.
The Lord hates violence and oppression and He is a defender of those who cannot defend themselves. Scripture tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. We are reminded that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and Jesus Himself warned, whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea Matthew 18:6. The abuse you describe is sin and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus, for God commands us to defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked Psalm 82:3-4.
We also encourage you while you pray to take every practical step to secure safety. The Lord has ordained authorities for protection and justice, for he is a servant of God to you for good Romans 13:4. We urge you to seek help from trusted family, church leaders, counselors, and where necessary the proper authorities to ensure your son and others are removed from danger and placed in safety. Do not face this alone, allow godly people around you to support and advocate for you and your son. Continue to speak truth and shine light on what is hidden, for the Lord brings to light what is done in darkness.

Surround them with Your angels, hide them under the shadow of Your wings, and keep them from all harm and danger. We ask You to stop the abuse now, to expose it, to bring it to an end, and to bring justice and righteousness in its place. Convict the heart of the one causing harm, bring them to repentance or remove their power to hurt others, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard these little ones. We pray You would restore peace and safety to their home and environment, heal any wounds of body, mind, and spirit, and let them know they are deeply loved and cherished by You. Strengthen this parent who is interceding, give wisdom, courage, and discernment for every next step, and provide godly help and resources without delay. Your cry for protection for your son has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. To plead for a child in danger is a holy and right prayer, for nature itself cries, Do not sin against the child, and how much more does the heart of our heavenly Father hear that cry.
We constantly need to cry to God to keep us from falling and to keep our loved ones from harm, remembering what a dreadful thing it is to be left without His shelter. Your safety and the safety of your son lies not in any strength of your own, but in our Savior. The Scripture declares that He is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. You need an infinite Friend to keep you in safety against all the machinations of your adversaries, and such a Friend we have in Christ. Our safety is assured by the fact that we have a God who is able and is as wise as He is able to keep us from falling.
It is also written, He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. This protection is both personal and perpetual. As a weaned child rests quietly in its mother's bosom, perfectly satisfied and free from anxiety, so may you and your son be enabled to rest in the care of Him who watches over His own in all their appointed ways.
Know that the Lord does not look lightly upon abuse. From the time when Satan fell, God's purpose has been to break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him. He casts down the mighty from the seats of their pomp and their places of power, while He lifts up the poor from the dunghill. Every act of cruelty against a child or against the helpless is seen by Him who is the only wise God our Savior, and He will in His perfect justice and mercy intervene.

O Lord our God and Savior, in the name of Jesus Christ Your holy Child, we bring this son before You. Lay Your hand of protection upon him and upon all others who are suffering harm. Intervene, we beseech You, and stop the hand of the oppressor. Break the power of abuse and let peace and safety be restored.
