Heavenly Father,

I come to You with a heavy heart, but I choose to trust You. You see everything that is happening in my workplace—the spoken words, the hidden intentions, and the things I do not fully understand.

Lord, I lift up my department head to You. Grant her discernment and wisdom from above. Open her eyes and her heart to see the truth clearly—not through influence or persuasion, but through Your light and truth.

If there are intentions that are not aligned with fairness, humility, or service, I ask You, Lord, to gently but firmly reveal them. Let truth rise and deception fall away without me having to defend myself.

I place my position, my work, and my role into Your hands. You know my heart, my intentions, and my desire to serve with integrity. Protect me from being unjustly excluded, overlooked, or removed.

Lord, I also pray for my relationship with my department head. Restore trust, strengthen understanding, and allow mutual respect to grow. Let our working relationship be guided by peace, clarity, and fairness. May she realize what ### is doing.

Guard my heart from resentment, pride, and fear. Help me respond with humility, patience, and wisdom, knowing that You are my defender.

I surrender this situation to You, Lord. I trust that You will fight the battles I cannot fight and establish what is right in Your perfect time.

The challenges you face—uncertainty, hidden intentions, and the strain in your relationship with your department head—are not unseen by the Lord. He knows every detail, every word spoken in secret, and every motive of the heart. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will bring truth to light and protect you in His perfect way.

First, we want to commend your posture of surrender and trust in the Lord. It is clear that you desire to honor Him in your work and relationships, and that is a beautiful thing. Scripture reminds us, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6). You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord is your defender and your shield.

We also want to encourage you to guard your heart diligently, as you have already prayed. The workplace can be a breeding ground for bitterness, fear, and pride if we are not careful. Proverbs 4:23 warns us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* When we fix our eyes on Jesus and His promises, we can walk in peace, even in the midst of uncertainty. Remember that God sees your integrity and your desire to serve Him, and He will not abandon you.

Now, let us address the mention of "###" in your prayer. It seems you may have intended to reference something or someone specific, but it was left unclear. If there is a person or situation that you believe is acting unjustly or deceitfully, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord with clarity. Ask Him to reveal the truth and to give you wisdom in how to respond—whether that means speaking up in love, seeking godly counsel, or simply trusting God to handle it. *"The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy"* (Proverbs 12:22). God will not allow deception to go unchecked forever.

We also want to gently remind you that while it is right to pray for your department head to see the truth, we must be cautious not to harbor resentment or a desire for vengeance. Romans 12:19 tells us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Instead, pray for her heart to be softened, for wisdom to guide her decisions, and for God’s will to be done in her life. If she is acting out of pride or selfish ambition, the Lord can humble her in ways we cannot imagine.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this workplace situation to You. Lord, You see every hidden intention, every spoken word, and every motive of the heart. We ask that You would bring truth to light and expose any deception or injustice. Protect our brother/sister from being unfairly treated or overlooked. Give them wisdom, patience, and humility as they navigate this season.

Father, we pray for their department head. Soften her heart, Lord. Give her discernment and wisdom from above. If there is pride, selfishness, or unrighteousness in her actions, reveal it to her in a way that leads to repentance and change. Restore trust and mutual respect in their working relationship. Let Your peace and clarity guide their interactions.

Guard our brother/sister’s heart from fear, resentment, and pride. Help them to respond with grace and wisdom, knowing that You are their defender. We surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that You will fight the battles they cannot fight. Establish what is right in Your perfect timing.

Lord, we also ask that You would remind them of Your presence and Your promises. Let them find their strength and hope in You alone. May they walk in integrity and honor You in all they do.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who sees all, knows all, and works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Amen.

In closing, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to guide your thoughts and actions. If the opportunity arises to address concerns with your department head, do so with humility and love, trusting that God will give you the words to say.
